8 Cambridgeshire Cambridgeshire Cambridge Bitter Elgood and Sons Ltd Established in 1795 Elgoods was the first purpose built brewery to be built outside of London. It is a beautiful Georgian brewery with over 4 acres of gardens, a lake, maze and visitors centre. The brewery remains under the control of the Elgood family and is today run by Belinda, Jenny and Claire. 9 Cardiff, Carmarthenshire & Cheshire Cardiff Atlantic White Brains Still owned by the descendants of the founders, who took over a fledgling brewery in a small stone building behind a Cardiff pub in 1882, Brains is distinctively Welsh, with a close association to Welsh sport. Rich, dark and flavourful, chocolate malt gives a smooth rich coffee finish. 4.0% abv 500ml Stout & Porter 3.95 Cornwall Tribute St Austell This family owned brewery, based in St Austell, was established in 1851 and produces a range of delicious cask and bottle ales. A light, hoppy, zesty and easy drinking ale, great with chicken or fish. 4.2% abv 500ml Pale Ale 3.85 County Antrim Titanic Quarter Beer Hilden Brewing Co Hilden Brewery, Ireland s oldest independent brewery, has been producing full flavoured, hand-crafted beers since 1981. Their brewing methods combine heritage and tradition with the finest of contemporary tastes, to produce the best beers possible. A pale ale that s clean and refreshing, with a good level of bitterness. 4.2% abv 500ml Pale Ale 3.95 County Down Belfast ALE Whitewater Brewing Co. Ltd Set in the heart of the Mournes, this family run microbrewery produces craft ales, lager and stout throughout the north and south of Ireland, as well as in France. 11 County Durham, Cumbria & Derbyshire County Durham Sonnet 43 Steam Amber Ale Sonnet 43 brew house Located in Coxhoe, Co. Durham, Sonnet 43 Brew House uses only the best ingredients with traditional brewing methods, to produce remarkable, high-quality cask beers that deliver a real taste experience to be savoured and enjoyed. Maris Otter pale malt and Northdown hops. A very refreshing, medium bodied slightly bitter drink. 3.8% abv 330ml Classic English Ale 3.65 Cumbria Cumberland Ale Jennings Established in 1828 by John Jennings Snr, the Jennings brewery is based in the Cumbrian town of Cockermouth, in the heart of the Lake District. Only the finest natural ingredients are used, including pure Lakeland water, to deliver a genuine taste of the Lake District. Balanced hops and residual malt flavours give a refreshing taste and unique characteristics. 4.0% abv 500ml Classic English Ale 3.85 Derbyshire Chiron Thornbridge Thornbridge started brewing in 2005 and has gone on to win over 350 industry and consumer awards for their beers. 13 east lothian East Lothian Belhaven St Andrews Ale Greene King Brewing & Retailing (Belhaven) Belhaven Brewery is in the town of Dunbar, 30 miles east of Edinburgh on the sunny East Lothian coast. Here, John Johnstone took ownership of the brewery in 1719 and started brewing for commercial sale. This malt whisky of beer is closely associated with the Home of Golf. Complex but refreshing, with sweet and sour flavours. 4.6% abv 500ml Brown Ale 3.85 East Lothian Belhaven Wee Heavy Greene King Brewing & Retailing (Belhaven) Although Belhaven Brewery can trace its documented history back to 1719, there may well have been beer production on their site as early as the 12th century by Monks (known for their brewing skills) who settled in the area. Malt sweetness with a spicy fruitiness; complex, full-bodied, sweet, rich, and strong. 7.4% abv 330ml Strong Ale 3.65 East Lothian Real Strawberry Cider Thistly Cross Cider Co Based in East Lothian, Thistly Cross Cider is a collaboration between a farmer and an artist. Involved in every step of their award-winning cider-making process, they hand-press the Scottish apples and fresh strawberries, then ferment and mature for six months to achieve a smooth, balanced flavour. Real fruit cider with a blast of fresh, juicy strawberries, combined with apple zing. 4.0% abv 500ml Cider 3.85 East Lothian Speyside oak aged Blonde ale Greene King Brewing & Retailing (Belhaven) Belhaven, Scotland s oldest working brewery, is nestled amongst the beautiful rolling barley fields of the East Lothian coast. For nearly 300 years they have been brewing there using only the finest local barley and choicest hops. Pale, refreshing and hoppy beer with a gorgeous aroma of tropical fruits. 4.0% abv 500ml Pale Ale 3.95 East Sussex Wild Hop Harvey s Brewery The brewery has been a landmark in Lewes, the county town of East Sussex, for over 200 years. It is a family business spanning eight generations, with a member of the eighth generation currently working there. Their methods are as old as the hills and their ingredients are as good as you can get, so their ale is unsurprisingly...waiting to be sampled. Deep golden, easy drinking with summer fruits, light biscuit malt and great bitter finish. 4.6% abv 500ml Strong Ale 3.95 Gwynedd Snowdonia Ale Purple Moose Brewery Ltd The Purple Moose Brewery is based in Porthmadog, close to the mountains of Snowdonia. This award-winning 40-Barrel microbrewery brews all of its ales from Welsh mountain water and natural ingredients which are renowned for exceptional taste. Golden yellow, soft, refreshing and full flavour with citrus. 3.6% abv 500ml Pale Ale 3.85 Hampshire Double Drop Flack Manor Brewery An independent brewery based in Romsey, Hampshire, who are using locally sourced ingredients as well as the almost unique method of Double Drop brewing, one of the traditional methods for producing a real ale. During the Second World War, Stanbridge Earls Estate and Roke Manor served as a rest and recuperation centre for aircrew. Known as Station 503 and endearingly called Flak Shack, this was the brewery s inspiration for the name Flack Manor Brewery. A classic amber bitter with the full flavour of Maris Otter barley and the bitter citrus after notes of Sovereign hops. 3.7% abv 500ml Classic English Ale 3.85 Herefordshire Old Rosie H Weston & Sons Ltd Since 1880 Westons Cider has been producing top quality cider and perry in Much Marcle, Herefordshire. By using only the best cider apples and aged, old oak vats to slowly mature their cider, they ensure their quality is never compromised. It was the first brewery in Britain to use steam, instead of coal, to boil the brewery coppers and today, IOM Purity laws forbid the use of additives as a substitute for natural brewing ingredients.
