We will also be nominating and electing CCMT board members for the coming year. CCMT board members meet monthly to promote the betterment of the neighborhood. If you re interested in becoming a CCMT board member, we encourage you to attend this meeting and nominate yourself. INSIDE THIS ISSUE Marshall Terrace Annual Meeting 1 Keep Marshall Terrace Beautiful 1 Order Compost Bin/Rain Barrel 2 Low-Income Rental Energy Program 2 Art-A-Whirl 3 Spring Cleanup 3 ESNS Annual Wine Tasting 4 Marshall Terrace Annual Meeting WHAT: Marshall Terrace 2015 Annual Meeting WHEN: Thursday, April 21 st, 7:00PM WHERE: RiverVillage Community Room, 2919 Randolph St. NE (Enter from 29 th Ave.) All are welcome to attend and participate. This is a FREE event. Taking a Walk? Keep the Neighborhood Beautiful! Spring is here and the weather is shaping up beautifully for walks and strolls around the neighborhood. Next time you go for a walk, grab a pair of garden gloves and a trash bag, and pick up litter along the way! Dispose of the trash bag in your own garbage can for weekly pickup; a little effort goes a long way for the good of the neighborhood. It s an easy way to care for our community, and help make Marshall Terrace a great place to live, work, and create.

Page 2 APRIL 2016 Order a Compost Bin or Rain Barrel Get a jump-start on gardening by ordering a $59 compost bin or a $74 rain barrel for your home. (These regularly cost $105 and $139.) By using a compost bin, you can keep more than a quarter of your household waste out of the garbage while making valuable compost for your garden. A rain barrel will help you save water and money by using rainwater rather than the faucet for your garden and trees. Rain barrels are also a way of trapping the stormwater that runs toward the storm drains picking up pollutants along the way and into our lakes, streams and rivers. Order now and you ll be able to pick up your compost bin or rain barrel at 3607 E. 44th St. in Minneapolis Saturday, April 30. To place your order, find more information or see other dates and locations, go to www.recycleminnesota.org. Center Point Energy Low-Income Rental Conservation Program Does your rental property need upgrades? Do you rent to low-income tenants? This program might be for you. Eligible property owners can receive: Free Energy Audits Energy Efficient Furnaces/Boilers Energy Efficient Water Heaters Attic Insulation Wall Insulation Related Health/Safety Measures CenterPoint Energy pays for 50% of the costs of all improvements and covers the full cost of the energy audit ($350-$950 value).
