This helps us in our planning efforts. I want all families to note that the deadline to apply for tuition assistance through FACTS Grant & Aid is February 28 th. Although you may apply later, this may make you ineligible for some awards. The children celebrated yesterday in their classes. It was so much fun! When we talk about love, we remember God s unending love for us and His instruction to Love one another just as I have loved you John 15:12. Today begins the Holy Season of Lent. Students attended liturgy today, Ash Wednesday at 8:30AM. Lent is a time to pray, fast, and give to those in need. There are many opportunities for the St. Joan of Arc community: Students will lead Stations of the Cross on Fridays at 2PM o February 23 rd Grades 3 & 4 o March 9 th Grades 5 & 6 o March 16 th Grades 1 & 2 o March 23 rd Grade 7 Living Stations The parish will have a Fish Fry dinner every Friday during Lent from 4:30-7PM and Pray the Stations of the Cross at 7PM. Our 7 th grade students will present the Living Stations at 7PM on March 23 rd. This evening gives Catholics across the state of Maryland to come together for food, fun, and advocacy. The Event and Reception are free but registration is required at www.mdcatholic.org/lobbynight The Archdiocese of Baltimore is sponsoring Family Night at the Baltimore Blasts on February 24 th. Discounted tickets and special activities will take place. The students have had a Blasts player come for our Field Day in May for the past two years. I m sure that they would love to cheer them on! Looking for more ways to earn volunteer hours or get involved? The Home & School s largest event is Derby Night in April. You may earn volunteer hours prior to the event or that evening, at home or at the event.
