My Trip to TradeWinds Island Grand St. Pete Beach, FL
Where We ll Stay Hotels and resorts are places we go sometimes when we are not at home. On this trip we will be staying at TradeWinds Island Grand Resort from to. will be coming on our trip with us. We will have rooms. will be staying in my room with me.
When We Arrive We will arrive at TradeWinds Island Grand Resort at. Check in time is at 4:00 p.m. If our room is not ready we can wait in the Grand Palm Colonnade, explore the resort or go to one of TradeWinds many restaurants.
Our Room TradeWinds has many different types of rooms so our room may not look the same as it does in the pictures we see. Our room may or may not have a view of the beach. Our room will have 1 or 2 beds, a bathroom and maybe a sitting area. In our room we can: Watch TV shows or movies Use the wireless internet Play with toys or video games Read books Make coffee or toast Put food in the mini-fridge Cook food in the microwave Sleep
Questions If we have any questions during our stay we can ask one of the friendly TradeWinds employees. All TradeWinds employees wear a badge with their name on it. If we are looking for a certain area at TradeWinds there are maps to help us find where we need to go.
We Can Eat Breakfast At Bermudas Steak and Seafood Breakfast buffet and favorites such as french toast, omelets, waffles and pancakes. Deli The Deli has bagels, breakfast sandwiches, muffins, gluten free snacks and more. RumFish Grill RumFish Grill has french toast, hot cakes, eggs, oatmeal and fruit skewers. Gluten free menu items are available to me by request. If we want to stay in our room to eat we can Order Room Service.
We Can Eat Lunch At Flying Bridge Burgers, sandwiches and salads. Beef O Brady s Burgers, sandwiches, wings and salads. Pizza Hut I can order my favorite pizza. Deli Made to order sandwiches and salads. Gluten free menu items are available to me by request. If we want to stay in our room to eat we can Order Room Service. Salty s Burgers, sandwiches and salads. Palm Court Fine Italian dining. RumFish Grill Chicken tenders, mac & cheese, grouper fingers, sandwiches and more.
We Can Get Snacks At Ice Cream Shoppe I can get my favorite ice cream in a cone or a cup. The Deli Chips, crackers, fruit, soda and more. We can order a Beaker s Snack Attack amenity that includes gluten free snacks when we make our reservation, or through room service at the resort.
We Can Eat Dinner At Beef O Brady s Bermudas Steak and Seafood Steak, seafood and pasta. Burgers, sandwiches, wings and salads. Flying Bridge Chicken, seafood and steak. Where We Can Have Fun We can visit TradeWinds Adventure Center as a family and participate in fun activities such as: Board Games Beach Walks Puppet Shows If I am between the ages of 4 and 11 I can participate in one of the KONK (Kids Only, No Kidding!) Club programs while Mom and Dad relax on the beach or have dinner. We can call in advance at 727.363.6020 to talk to one of the friendly counselors about what fun activities are offered.
Who We Might Meet TradeWinds has a resident pirate named RedBeard. I may see RedBeard: During RedBeard s Pirate Show, where he sings and tells stories. During his activities, Buccaneer Beads and Sharktooth Necklaces. Beaker is TradeWinds pelican mascot. I may see Beaker: Walking around the resort during the Beaker Walk.
What We Can Do On The Beach The High Tide Slide is a 3-story waterslide on the beach that I can go on. On the slide I must: Let the slide attendant hose my feet off so I don t get sand on the slide. Hold the ropes on the side of the slide as I go up. Wait my turn. The Floating Waterpark is a fun floating waterpark on the water. We can reserve a time to have fun on the waterpark at the Treat Hut by the Beachfront Pool. On the waterpark I can: Bounce on a trampoline. Slide down a slide. Relax on a floating cabana.
More Fun Stuff We Can Do On The Beach Play beach volleyball. Play cornhole, bocce ball or horseshoes. Relax in a hooded cabana.
Fun Things We Can Do At TradeWinds Take a ride around the resort in a paddleboat. Fly high into the sky on the bungee trampoline. Play a game of mini-golf. Play tennis.
What I Can Do At BodyWorks Salon and Spa and the Fitness Center I can use the fitness center if I am: 18 years or older. 16 or 17 years old with an adult. In the fitness center I can: Use the treadmills and other cardio equipment. Use the weight machines. Take a Yogafit class. At BodyWorks Salon and Spa I can: Get a massage or facial. Get a manicure or pedicure. Get my haircut or my hair styled.
What We Might See at TradeWinds TradeWinds Island Grand is a pet-friendly resort. We may see dogs that are up to 80 lbs. All dogs will be on a leash except when they are in the Pet Play Zone. There is a designated pet-friendly area marked by white paw prints so if I don t want to be near the dogs I don t have to be. TradeWinds has two swans named Sandy and Pearl. They may be pretty to look at, but I must be careful when approaching them as they may bite me.
Where We Can Go For Pool Time We can go to the: KONK Club pool. Beachfront pool. Covered pool. KONK Club Wading Pool. If I am 21 years old or older I can go to the: Adults only pool.
Autism Friendly Places That We Can Visit Great Explorations Children s Museum Located in St. Petersburg. Museum of Fine Arts Located in downtown St. Petersburg. Lowry Park Zoo Located in Tampa. Museum of Science and Industry Located in Tampa We can visit the Concierge in the lobby for more information on these places. There is an on site transportation service, Resort Transportation, that can take us to these places. We can contact them at 866-403-3303.
When We Leave We will leave TradeWinds on at. Check out time is 11 a.m. A bellman may come to our room to help us with our luggage. We will check out at the Front Desk. We will then leave to go home and talk about how much fun we had at TradeWinds! 07/13/11
