Purple, becoming purple-black when ripe. Shoulders slow to color. Flesh: Bright, yellow flesh, red bleeding in from perimeter. Flavor: Mildly-sweet, very juicy with crisp texture. High sugar (16-17 brix), with fruity aroma when ripe. Tart skin. Post Harvest: Firm, has held 6 weeks in storage. No shrivel problems. Some growth cracks and air pockets but has not affected productivity in California. Chill/Bloom: 600 C.H. mid-season bloom (average full bloom Feb 26 in Bakersfield).
