Fasoli Gino VINI BIOLOGICI Borgoletto - Soave 2017 - Veneto, Italy Their winery is the story of a family that has deep roots in the area of Verona. This family farm was founded in 1925 by Amadio Fasoli, who planted vines and began making and selling wine in taverns in cities surrounding the farm - and it s still going strong. Borgoletto Soave is crisp, clean and lightly fruity. Aromas of fresh pears; a clean, lively palate finishing on a twist of citrus; Bright light yellow in colour, the bouquet is both floral and fruity and the wine leaves almost saline and fruity notes on the finish. The finish is medium to long with a light aftertaste of bitter almonds. GOOSEBERRY CITRUS STONEFRUIT BITTER Since 1925, they have been producing wine, and since 1984 organic wine. In 2006 they started using biodynamic practices. They refuse to use chemical pesticides and instead use agricultural practices that respect nature, the people who live in it and their consumers. They continue to apply know-how passed down over generations to modern techniques to ensure they produce consistently high quality wines. They are committed to treating our land with the utmost care because we must ensure its health for future generations. The Fasoli brothers have conjured up a soft and dry white with appealing tropical notes and its fruit more to the forefront than in many pinot grigios. The excellent balance between acidity and body makes this wine fullbodied and pleasantly refreshing This is robust and mouthfilling and carrying subtle textures that carry through to a dry, flinty finish. Pieve vecchia - Soave 2015 - Veneto, Italy La Corte del Pozzo - Bardolino 2016 - Veneto, Italy Pieve Vecchia is made from some of the estate's finest Garganega grapes which are aged in oak where it lays on its own yeasts for 6 months. It's a full-bodied, creamy wine that nonetheless retains a lovely freshness which is secured by using the best quality fruit. Pieve Vecchia is a vibrant gold colour. Full-bodied on the palate, it is an explosion of fruity flavours with excellent acidity. Notes of almonds and pastries on the aftertaste. ALMOND HONEYCOMB VANILLA CEDAR Bright ruby red in color, Bardolino should be drunk young.the bouquet is slightly fruity and floral with notes of wild rose with an enveloping scent of a fresh flowers. Made with the same grapes which are used in the famous Valpolicella, but grown in different areas closer to Lake Garda on hills and morainic ground, which give the wine its own unique character. WILD ROSES RASPBERRIES VIOLET La Corte del Pozzo - Prosecco 2015 - Veneto, Italy Lovely rich complexity on the nose. Unripe pear on the palate with nice balanced acidity. Generally this is a medium-weight wine, with a fresh, floral bouquet, which can be drunk in the spring following the harvest. The fine and persistent perlage highlights the freshness in the mouth. The bouquet is bursting with aromas of white flowers such as jasmine and acacia. On the palate the finish has notes of bitter almond and dried fruit. La Corte del Pozzo - Valpolicella 2016 - Veneto, Italy Alteo - Amarone della Valpolicella 2011 - Veneto, Italy This Valpolicella is a vibrant ruby red colour. Initially, this wine gives off all its vitality and strength. After the first year of aging it starts maturing and the tannins and acidity combine with the flavours of ripe fruit. This enriches the wines with a final touch of softness. The bouquet is bursting with aromas of red fruit jam and fresh red fruits with hints of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is dry, smooth, well-bodied and balanced. RED FRUITS VANILLA BERRY JAM VIOLET Indisputably the most powerfull wine of the veneto region - if not of all Italy. What distinguishes Amarone from other red wines is the fact that the grapes are dried over the winter prior to pressing. As you'd expect, the drying process concentrates the flavours even further and what you end up with in your glass is a delicious, mouth-filling wine with a list of flavours that go on and on. Stunning. LIQUORICE COFFEE DRIED FRUITS BLACK PEPPER La Corte del Pozzo - Valpolicella ripasso 2015 - Veneto, Italy A richer more powerful wine having been fermented on the lees of Amarone. After a first fermentation, towards the end of February, the wine is left for about 15 days to referment on the grape skins used to make Amarone. During this fermentation they also add dried grapes to give more body and complexity to the wine. Gabriele Scaglione - Langhe DOC Nebbiolo 2015 - Piedmont, Italy Gabriele Scaglione In this ideal location for grape growing, Gabriele s vineyards, scattered throughout the best of the Langhe and Roero regions, flourish with regional varietals of distinct quality: Moscato, Arneis, Nebbiolo, Barbera, as well as others. Really elegant style of Nebbiolo; only selected, hand picked grapes of Nebbiolo of the historical Roero wine region are going into this wine. Johann, Duke of Austria, introduced the first vines of this variety to the region during the middle of the 19th century. With the common goal of exploring and promoting their beloved land, they decided in 2001 to fulfill this dream of growing and producing their own wines. Il Guardiano, which we have been producing since 2009, is the expression of the terroir, born from the meeting between the deep intensity of Sangiovese and the smoothness of Merlot. Poggio Mandorlo - IGT Toscana rosso The territory has a complex clay and limestone marl soil, rich in quartz and flint, with a predominant content of tuff and galestro (schist, clay & limestone) in the higher slope levels. With all the vineyards at 1313 feet asl (400 meters slm), Poggio Mandorlo wines offer elegant and delicate characters with a strong structure and bold intensity. Poggiomandorlo is their top wine, an excellent example of how a terroir can be expressed using international varieties of grapes. The Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes, strongly characterized by the terroir, create a wine particularly well suited for aging in wood over long periods of time. The aroma has fruity notes enriched by hints of vanilla and chocolate coming from the wood.
