TWO HORD SON WORKBOOK OR UKULELE BEINNERS (Keys of, and ).
TWO HORD SONS - HOW TO USE THIS BOOK. People starting to play the uke will often want to start with the simplest of songs ie. those that do not require many chords. There are lots of well known songs that only require two chords and there is a list on the following page but the chords are written in three different keys,, and, for just six of those songs. Jambalaya, Singing in the Rain, lementine, Deep in the Heart of Texas, How much is that Doggie in the Window, Down in the Valley. The aim is 1. To get the beginner changing chords effortlessly. 2. Extending their chord vocabulary by degrees. The beginner 1. ould work their way through all the songs in then move to the songs in then finally to those in OR 2. They could play one song in then try the same song in and finally in then move on to the next song. AT THE END O THIS BOOK THEY SHOULD KNOW THE OLLOWIN HORDS 7 With the addition of Bb the beginner should be able to tackle many three chords. See The Three hord Workbook.

LEMENTINE (Key of ) In a cavern, in a canyon, Excavating for a mine, Dwelt a miner, forty-niner And his daughter lementine. D Oh my darling, oh my darling Oh my darling, lementine Thou art lost and gone forever, Dreadful sorry, lementine. Light she was and like a fairy, And her shoes were number nine, Herring boxes without topses Sandals were for lementine HORUS Drove the ducklings to the water Every morning just at nine, Hit her foot against a splinter ell into the foaming brine. HORUS Ruby lips above the water, Blowing bubbles soft and fine, But alas, I was no swimmer, So I lost my lementine. HORUS Then the miner, forty-niner Soon began to peak and pine, Thought he oughter jine he daughter, Now he's with his lementine. HORUS In my dreams she still doth haunt me, Robed in garments soaked in brine; Though in life I used to hug her, Now she's dead, I draw the line.
