ITINERARY DAY 1: USA SPAIN (Saturday) Fly through the night from Los Angeles to Madrid. DAY 2: MADRID (Sunday) Welcome to Spain! Meet your Spanish Forum Tour Manager at the airport. Follow your Tour Manager on a walking tour of Old Madrid, explore the 16th and 17th century narrow streets around the famous Plaza Mayor, and the Puerta del Sol, the official center of Spain. Enjoy dinner with your group in a local restaurant. DAY 3: MADRID (Monday) After breakfast, meet your local guide and visit the Museo National del Prado. The Prado is one of the most important museums of the world. See masterpieces by Goya and Velazquez, including Las Meninas, considered by some art historians to be the greatest painting ever created. Later, go on a guided tour of the Royal Palace - an immense 18th century palace twice the size of Buckingham Palace and one of the most beautiful in Europe. The reminder of the day is free to discover the city at your own pace. Enjoy dinner with your group in a local restaurant. DAY 4: MADRID PARIS (Tuesday) After breakfast at your hotel, board your bus to the airport, say bye to your Spanish Tour Manager and catch your flight to Paris, capital of France. On arrival, meet your French Forum Tour Manager at Charles de Gaulle Airport. Drop your bags at your hotel and have some free time to grab a quick lunch. Discover La Ville Lumière from the third floor of the Eiffel Tower. Later, board a glass-topped bateau mouche and enjoy a refreshing cruise on the Seine River. Dinner and overnight accommodation in Paris. DAY 5: PARIS (Wednesday) After breakfast, explore Philippe Auguste s Musée du Louvre and see the galleries masterpieces, including the breath-taking Mona Lisa. Free time for lunch at the Jardin du Tuileries. Have some free time for shopping and to discover the city at your own pace. Climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe & see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Stroll on the Champs-Elysées before dinner. Dinner and overnight accommodation in Paris. DAY 6: PARIS ROME (Thursday) This morning after breakfast, explore the Île de la Cité. Visit the Gothic Cathédrale Notre-Dame, a magnificent religious edifice and one of the supreme masterpieces of French art.
ITINERARY Enjoy lunch with your group at a local restaurant. This afternoon is free to discover the city at your own pace. Head to the train station and say bye to your French Forum Tour Manager before catching your overnight train to Rome. DAY 7: ROME (Friday) On arrival, meet your Italian Forum Tour Manager and head to your centrally located hotel. Have breakfast at a local restaurant. Then, meet your specialist local guide and enjoy a guided tour of Ancient Rome. Circle round the Arch of Constantine towards the ruins of the Roman Forum, the area around which ancient Rome was developed. Visit the Colosseum, originally known as the Flavian Amphitheatre. Originally capable of seating 45,000 50,000 spectators, it was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles. Enjoy dinner in a local restaurant. After, take a stroll and see Fontana di Trevi. Follow superstition and throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain to ensure that you will one day return to Rome. DAY 8: VATICAN CITY (Saturday) After breakfast at the hotel, meet your local guide and visit St-Peter's Square! Enter the immense and grand St-Peter's Basilica; in and around the square are Swiss guards, in Renaissance-style uniforms. Visit the Vatican Museum including the Stanza di Raffaello (Raphael Rooms) & Tapestry Gallery. End by visiting the Sistine Chapel and its vaulted ceiling painted by Michelangelo. The reminder of the day is free to catch up on last minute souvenir shopping or to discover the city at your own pace! Enjoy a farewell dinner with your group in a local restaurant. DAY 9: DEPART After breakfast, head to the airport to catch your flight back to the USA.
