This is partially caused by shipping Valencia variety early in order to compensate for an abrupt end to Navel season. Furthermore, excessive heat in growing regions has impacted the quality of the oranges, leading to a higher percentage not making standards. This is especially affecting 113/138s, but all supplies are tight due to using others to substitute. Any supply of oranges that will be available is expected to be the larger sized 72s/56s Last week s mushroom crisis will continue to be watched for the next several months. In response Midwest Foods has pulled from all resources including many local distritbuters and we have a strong supply of mushrooms such as cremini, white button, and shiitake at this time Supplies of broccoli and leaf products remain limited following a variety of weather events MERCOT ORANGES 30 W. 36 th St. Chicago, IL 60632 P: 773.927.8870 www.midwestfoods.com
