Dear Friends: I am pleased to announce the NCSML Bohemian Beer Tour to the Czech Republic, April 24 May 4, 2015. The tour will begin in Prague where we will meet at a welcome dinner with world beer expert, Evan Rail. We will have three days to stroll the bridges and cobblestone streets of Old Town and explore many of the sites and cultural activities this charming city has to offer. There are day trips planned to nearby breweries and visits to local pubs and craft brewers. We will journey to Western Bohemia to visit Žatec, its brewery and the Hop Museum and Temple of Hops and Beer, plus the Herold Březnice Brewery in the Březnice Castle, and the Chodovar Family Brewery the oldest brewery in Western Bohemia, where you can even try soaking in a beer bath! We ll visit the charming medieval village and castle of Loket, where beer is brewed in the vaulted cellars of a 14th century malt house. Our tour will culminate with three days in Pilsen the Capital City of Beer for its famous Liberation Inside Festival, celebrating the 70th anniversary of General Patton s liberation Front Cover of Pilsen in May 1945. You will enjoy the many unique festival events, 5.5 including an historic reenactment of the battle for Pilsen and a military camp circa 1945, plus the world-renowned Convoy of Liberty parade including vintage U.S. military vehicles, uniforms and dignitaries. This is the most celebrated salute to Americans in Europe an experience not to be missed.
