Kayak Greek Frozen Yogurt is produced in Greece, which is the country of origin and as such it has a unique selling advantage compared to other similar products. The Greek yogurt in order to be named as such it has to be produced in a specific way, which means not only by incorporating bacteria cultures, but also by following the required process removing some of the whey through straining, leaving more of the milk solids. When the whey is gone, the yogurt takes on a thicker, creamier texture, which affects not only the nutritional value of the product, but also its actual taste.

Greek yogurt VS Greek style yogurt There is also a difference between Greek yogurt and Greek-style yogurt. Greek-style yogurt is usually traditional yogurt to which thickening agents have been added not quite the care and quality given to true Greek yogurt. For traditional yogurt, if a cup of milk is used to make the yogurt, one cup of yogurt is produced. In Greek yogurt, it takes more milk to create one cup of yogurt, sometimes up to four cups of milk. This is why true Greek yogurt can be more expensive. But a benefit is that there is more protein in Greek yogurt, than traditional and since the lactose-containing whey is strained, the yogurt loses sugar and carbohydrates.
