EASY PEASY 3 DAY CLEANSE
EASY PEASY 3-DAY CLEANSE Now I don t know about you, but I definitely ate too much Christmas pavlova! It s that time again we are all feeling the post- Christmas guilt s. So I d like to share with you, a really gentle cleanse that you can implement to get yourself back on track both physically and emotionally. The main reason for a detox is to give our digestive system a little break by eliminating toxins. This is done by eating whole foods that are easy to digest. RULES During the cleanse, you will basically eat oatmeal and kitchari (see the kitchari recipe below). Kitchari is a simple dish made of mung beans and rice and it is commonly used in cleanses. It s high in protein, easy to digest and healing for the digestive tract. For breakfast, have some oatmeal or kitchari, or even a smoothie if you d prefer. Eat kitchari for lunch and dinner, and have it with some roast pumpkin or as part of a salad. I get the most out of the cleanse by making lunch the biggest meal of the day. You should do your best not to snack between meals. I suck at this part so I just have a little bit of avocado with salt and pepper in between meals if I need to. You should prepare everything fresh each day (instead of eating leftovers). Sometimes you can suffer from constipation during a cleanse, so I d recommend adding Zendocrine to your water, and taking some DigestZen and Peppermint in an empty veggie capsule each day to help with any blockage.
EASY PEASY 3-DAY CLEANSE DAILY ROUTINE I ve recently started implementing the hour of power, which was inspired by George from Winne Dot. If you don t follow her on Instagram then you should she is amazeballs! I make sure I m up at least half an hour (preferably an hour) before Clementine gets up, which allows me to shower, get ready for the day, do my oil routine, and not feel rushed in the process. I drink a couple of glasses of warm water, with a drop of Lemon essential oil to help cleanse my digestive system. You don t have to do this, but I like to do a little bit of exercise. Sometimes I go for a walk around the block, sometimes I like to do some yoga/stretching or a backyard workout. I then prepare my breakfast and kitchari for the day. I eat my oatmeal (only a small amount because I like to have a smoothie too) between 7-7.30am. I then eat my kitchari and roasted pumpkin at around 12pm. I have some avocado and sea salt at around 3pm. I eat my kitchari salad for dinner at about 5.30pm. I then have a shower using magnesium salts and lemon essential oil, which helps with lymphatic drainage. Just add a few drops of the oil into a handful of magnesium salts and rub it onto your body, focusing on the armpits and groin area. Last, but not least, switch off!! Try to stay away from technology for at least 30 minutes before bed. Read a book, chat to your partner, or have a cup of tea and read a magazine! Lights out by 10pm. Your body does the majority of its healing when you re asleep, so try to get as much sleep as possible during the cleanse. er cute ones) so that your last thought is always fulfilment and gratitude.
