Rental Information Suitable for weddings, meetings, corporate training seminars, dinners and receptions. Minnekhada Lodge presents some problems for those with mobility challenges. While wheelchair users can access the main room, the narrow doorway to the washrooms and kitchen may not accommodate the passage of all users. The upper floor of the Lodge is accessed by stairs only. You can arrange your own catering and bring in your own alcohol with a Special Occasion License. Prepare to discontinue the service of alcohol and music one hour prior to the end of your rental time. Food & Alcohol, Parking & Access The kitchen is available for heating food only. Preparation or washing of dishes onsite is not allowed. You may hire a licensed caterer, or for a private group, arrangement such as pot-luck dinners are acceptable. Dishes, cutlery, glassware, linens and utensils are not supplied. Consumption and sale of liquor on the premises is allowed with an appropriate permit and approval from Metro Vancouver. Liquor on the premises is not to exceed the amount specified in the permit and consumption of liquor is not permitted outside. A liquor administration fee of $08 is charged for all events where liquor is consumed. An Application for a Special Event Permit can be obtained from a Liquor Control and Licensing Branch. You may apply online at https://specialevents.bcldb.com or call 866 209 2. For clean-up: Remove garbage, linens, decorations and dispose of them in large garbage receptacles in kitchen. There are 9 parking stalls, two of them are handicap. There is a space for loading next to the kitchen entrance. The caretaker will check you in and out of the building according to the specified time of your booked rental. Music SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) requires that users of music obtain a SOCAN license to perform, or authorize others to perform, copyright music in public. To ensure that the appropriate license is in place, the policy of Metro Vancouver is to collect and remit the required license to SOCAN. The fee for an event with dance is $4.3, plus tax and without dancing is $20.56, plus tax. Please note that the use of copyright music without SOCAN license may lead to legal action for copyright infringement under the Copyright Act of Canada. Miscellaneous All tentative reservations will be held for 4 days to allow submittal of security deposit. If deposit is not received within 4 days, the reservation will be cancelled without further notice. Completed rental agreement is due 30 days prior to event. Metro Vancouver is not responsible for any costs or inconveniences caused by a power failure during the term of the Rental Agreement. Animals are not permitted in the house and must be on-leash at all times while in the Park. No tacks, nails or duct tape are to be used on walls, furniture, beams, etc. No confetti, rice, birdseed, etc. to be used in or outside the home. All rental and personal items are the sole responsibility of the renter and must be removed during the rental period. Extra furniture is not permitted inside the house. Tables and chairs inside the house may not be taken outside.
