OUR CUISINE & PHILOSOPHY FOODLAB is a family business. Nino, and his mother Esther (pictured here in 1981), started as a catering company in 2007 and have since opened two gourmet marketplace cafes in Los Angeles. Esther owned a restaurant in Salzburg, Austria before moving to Los Angeles in 1993 with her son. While she is mostly selftaught, she did attend Le Cordon Bleu in Paris between modeling in runway shows in Paris and Milan. Her unique and unapologetic approach to flavor and combinations has made FOODLAB a popular Los Angeles destination. Constantly trying to create new dishes, Esther is currently working on a cookbook dedicated to sandwiches. Nino attended the Hotel School at Cornell University, learning the management side of the restaurant industry. After a few years working on the east coast, Nino decided to move back to Los Angeles and join his mother in opening FOODLAB. Nino s passion for design and marketing has also helped FOODLAB define a strong brand, one he is constantly trying to improve and perfect. Our staff is known to be the friendliest staff around. FOODLAB. the name is a refection of Esther s experiments with flavors. Additionally, we are proud to announce that our eat-ware, ranging from plates, cutlery, cups, and packaging are 80% environmentally friendly and biodegradable. It is extremely important to us to be a leader in keeping this planet clean and beautiful, and therefore have made every effort in finding items that are not only attractive but also harmless. FOODLAB (yes, its one word, not two; the plus was meant as a design detail and for 7 years we were referred to as FOOD AND LAB).

FOODLAB WHOLESALE PROGRAM Since 2008, Foodlab has become a staple in Los Angeles for gourmet sandwiches with a European flair, healtly salads and creative side dishes and treat. The demand for us to open multiple location was of interest at first, but instead, we decided to stay a boutique operation, and share our food with select vendors like you: WHAT WE DO Tailored to fit your business, we create a rotational menu that is delivered to you daily, Monday through Friday. Our trained staff delivers the packaged food, stock it. We try to create a variety so that your clients are never bored. HOW DOES IT HELP YOU? Operating a food etablishment comes with extra staffing issues, waste, and packaging concerns, as well as the requirements to maintain a food safe environment. We take care of that for you. We make the food fresh daily, pack it, deliver it and voila! You are serving food at your establishment. WHAT DOES IT COST? While we could easily have created wholesale pricing, we decided that it was in your best interest to not go out of pocket. So we have a different solution. We offer the 70/30 model. You pay 70% of the items up front and keep 30%. A normal restaurant earns 10-15 % profit on Food. We incur the packaging cost, and for a minimal delivery fee, you will see the profits add up. HOW MUCH CAN YOU MAKE? On average, our clients order about $250-$350 a day and sell at 80-90% rate. Based on $250 a day, weekly inventory is $1250 and assuming a low 70% sell rate, your etablishment makes $375 a week without any costs. That adds up to $19500 a year additional income. If you need more inventory, we can meet demand, and we can also reduce the amount based on performance. OTHER BENEFITS We have noticed that because you now serve food, you are automatically a bigger draw to people who may choose another establishment that has offer things than pastries. Sales of our current partners have all risen since people now have another reason to come to your establishment. Marketing our partnership and having the FOODLAB brand in your establishment is also a benefit. People know our product and trust our food, which has become a staple in Los Angeles in the last 10 years.
