FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS TICKETS Ticketing options that can be arranged with the Group Sales Coordinator are: 1) Receive your tickets by mail or arrange to pick them up at our administrative offices for you to distribute tickets to each guest prior to the event 2) Rent a Registration Booth outside of the Clubhouse or Grandstand entrance to distribute tickets to your guests as they arrive. Rental cost for a Registration Booth is: $25 if a member of your group staffs it or $125 if we staff it for you. 3) Leave your tickets at Will Call under your group s name for each guest to pickup individually as they arrive. We recommend you distribute your tickets to your guests prior to arriving at the park. There is useful information on each ticket that will help your guests locate your event. We race rain or shine. Most box seats are protected from the weather by our world famous cantilevered roof, and there are 3 indoor floors of general admission areas to explore while watching the races on monitors should it rain. Arlington Park does not issue any refunds due to inclement weather. A Daily Racing Guide is included with each ticket and provided at the gate entrance as your guests arrive. Please inform your guests that they will claim their Racing Guide at the time they enter the park. Ask a guest service team member (they wear red color coats) at the gate entrance if you have not received a Racing Guide. All guests ages 4 and older will require a ticket for entry into the park and group venues. Ages 3 and under are free and thus do not require a ticket While we will do our best to place you in your preferred location, seats will be assigned by Arlington Park and specific seating is not guaranteed.
The admission gates open at 11:15 on most race days. Please see the racing calendar on our website for time changes. Guests are welcome to arrive early and explore the park; however, the box seats will not be opened until one hour before the first race. On Thursdays the first race is at 1:00 pm. On Fridays the first race is at 3:00pm (May thru August) and 2:00pm (September) Saturdays & Sunday the first race is at 1:00pm. First post times are subject to change without notice. Check www.arlingtonpark.com for such changes. PARKING If your group is arriving by bus, your guests can be dropped off at the Grandstand Entrance and will be picked up outside the Paddock gate. Bus parking is available on the north side of the turn-around. Bus maps can be found by going to: www.arlingtonpark.com/groups/planning-yourevent/box-seats If your group is arriving by train, the NW Metra has an Arlington Park stop conveniently located in our parking lot nearest to the Grandstand entrance. Please see www.metrarail.com for more details. Free parking is available in both Grandstand and Clubhouse parking lots. Preferred parking is a self-parking lot located closer to the entrance and costs $5 per car. Valet parking is only available at the Clubhouse entrance for only $10 per car. Prepaid arrangements must be made in advance with the Group Sales Coordinator, as each guest must have a pass upon arrival at the park. FOOD NO commercially packaged food is allowed anywhere on Arlington Park s property. This includes, professional catering, KFC buckets, pizza boxes, fast food, grocery deli trays or restaurant carry-out of any kind. No outside food or beverages (including cakes) may be consumed in the box or reserved seats. In-seat drink service is not available.
ARLINGTON COMBO AND CLASSIC BAR/SODA PACKAGE If you elected to add the Arlington Combo and/or a beverage package to your event the following bullet points will be useful: If you elected to have your combo vouchers and/or beverage bracelets delivered to your seats the day of your event upon your arrival to your box seats please find a guest service representative (they wear red colored coats) and they will handle the coordination of the delivery. Pre-purchased lunch and bar packages may be redeemed on the 3rd floor on the East end of the track. In order to provide the freshest food possible, the pre-purchased bistro lunch will only be available: Thursday, Saturday & Sunday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm and on Friday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. On busy days, lines due tend to form near the Arlington Combo pick up area. Do not worry as you will have two hours for your guests to claim their lunch. We encourage all guests to arrive early and be sure to claim their combo prior to the ending time listed on the voucher. The combo pick up area closes promptly at the closing time listed on the ticket. There is limited seating inside near the combo pick up area. This seating is first come first serve and cannot be reserved prior to your event. There is a bar area located next to the combo pick up area (3 rd floor, East end of the track) for you to use your drink bracelets. The bar also accepts cash and credit cards. Unfortunately we do not allow guests to run bar tabs. Betting windows and self-service wagering machines are located within close proximity to the combo pick up area and the bar.
FINANCES & PAYMENT You will receive an invoice from the Group Sales Coordinator the week before your event. Pending additional charges the day of the event, an updated final invoice will be sent the day after the event. Final payment is due the next business day following your event date. A grace period of 5-7 business days will be granted if paying by check or if additional costs are incurred on the day of the event. An 20% service charge is added to all event packages. This covers the cost of labor for all who have serviced your event. Any additional gratuity you may wish to give is completely optional. Any additions to the final guest count within 72 hours of your event will be charged an additional 15% per person. All food and beverage additions are subject to an 11.25% sales tax. Taxes on food and beverage are subject to change without notice. EVENT EXTRAS The box seats have designated guest service representatives. They will be implementing all pre-determined event details that have been worked out with the Group Sales Coordinator. To assist your guests with wagering, self-service terminals and live tellers are conveniently located throughout the building. If you booked a paddock tour for up to 12 guests, a guest service representative will greet you at your seats and will escort your group as the day of racing schedule allows. Your guests will then be escorted back to their seats following the tour. If you have ordered a message to be shown on our Jumbotron, all messages are shown after the results of the 5th race are made official. Jumbotron messages have a maximum of 40 characters including punctuation and spacing.
If you have booked a Trophy Presentation, up to six guests from your party can watch a race from the winner s circle and have a photo taken with the winning jockey to commemorate the event. At the beginning of the race day, a Guest Services Representative will greet you and confirm the time that your group will be escorted to the winner s circle. After the photo is taken, the group will be escorted back to the box seats. Six photos will be mailed to you for distribution. If you have ordered a message to be shown on our Jumbotron, all messages are shown after the results of the 5th race are made official. Jumbotron messages have a maximum of 40 characters including punctuation and spacing. All vouchers and gift certificates will be delivered to you by the floor captain when you arrive at the beginning of the day. Arrangements can be made for gift certificates to be sent in advance, but vouchers and gift certificates can only be mailed overnight for an additional $25 charge. Balloons, poles, sticks, balls, glass, Frisbees, bubbles, piñatas or umbrellas are not permitted under any circumstances. Banners and signs are not allowed to be hung in the box seat area DRESS CODE Although there is no formal dress code in the Box Seats, we do suggest smart casual attire. Jeans, gym shoes, shorts, Capri pants and sandals are all acceptable
