RESORT INFORMATION VALET PARKING Event only parking is $8 per car, $25 overnight. SERVICE CHARGE A 24% taxable service charge and applicable 6% sales tax to all food and beverage items. TAXES 6% Florida State tax on service charge, site fee etc. Room Tax - 6% Florida State tax, 4% resort tax. RESORT FEE $20 per guest room per night, subject to 6% sales tax. Welcome bag delivery $3 per room, $5 personalized. BARTENDER AND CHEF FEE $100 each for 4 hours, $25 each additional hour, plus 6% sales tax. OUTDOOR EVENTS All outdoor events must end by 10:00 PM. No amplified music is permitted outdoors. Beach and Gulf Lawn functions are subject to additional time restraints due to turtle season; please speak with your Catering Manager for more details. CEREMONY FEE Both the North Beach & Gulf Lawn can seat up to 250 guests. Site fee will be determined by the day of the week and time of year. Rental of the ceremony location includes the set up of our white garden chairs, as well as a microphone and sound system for your officiant. The location fee will apply whether the ceremony takes place at the designated outdoor location or is moved indoors. Ceremonies will only be booked for couples holding their receptions at the resort.
WEDDING EVENT COORDINATION INFORMATION YOUR LAPLAYA CATERING MANAGER WILL Provide personal tours of the Resort grounds and facilities Execute all contractual agreements between you and the Resort Act as your primary Resort contact, available to answer questions and communicate with other departments within the Resort Provide you with an outline of your financial commitment and pre-payment schedule. Confirm final guest count with you Prepare a detailed Banquet Event Order outlining your event for your approval Create a floor plan of your function space in order for you to make specific seating arrangements Act as menu consultant for all food and beverage selections Review your banquet checks for accuracy prior to and following the completion of your deposits and final billing. Recommend special event professionals to provide music, floral arrangements, photography, wedding coordination, ceremony officiates etc. YOUR LAPLAYA BANQUET CAPTAIN WILL Be introduced to you during your reception Oversee your entire event, set up to finish Check with bridal party, wedding coordinator and guests during your event to assure satisfaction Act as supervisor of timing of events, delivery of food, assist in arranging with bell stand for delivery of wedding items to vehicles and guest rooms Review the final bill at conclusion of the event WE RECOMMEND HIRING A PROFESSIONAL WEDDING COORDINATOR WHO WILL Assist with proper etiquette and protocol for invitations, family matters, ceremonies and toasts Create a timeline for your wedding day, including the ceremony, reception and other wedding related events Order, deliver and arrange ceremony programs, place cards, centerpieces, favors and any personal items Assist the bride and bridal party with dressing Collect and/or store personal items you may have brought with you until the conclusion of the day s events Ensure that the bridal party has their bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres Be the liaison between your family, the bridal party, entertainment, florist, photographer and other vendors Coordinate the processional with the bride and bridal party Work with the bridal party to organize, coordinate and supervise the wedding rehearsal Provide bridal party and family members of all pertinent schedules for wedding related events Be responsible for all personal items, such as cake knife, champagne flutes and gifts, in advance of, during and after the event
