THE REFINED CUISINE OF THE PALATINATE In the St. Urban restaurant, our guests can enjoy authentic and traditional Palatinate dishes with a twist served in a relaxed atmosphere and a tasteful historic setting. We will happily show you that the culinary range of the Palatinate is not limited to stuffed pig s stomach, which, due to us, has gained international fame. The restaurant including a series of banqueting rooms such as the Wappenzimmer (Coat of Arms Room), the Geißbockstube (Billy Goat Snug), the Weinbibliothek (Wine Library) and the Schmankerlstube (Titbits Room) ooze solid hospitality. The terrace overlooking the historical market square is inviting guests with its cosy ambiance and its Mediterranean charm.
The top destination for gourmets on the German Wine Road are the magnificent cross vaults of the Deidesheimer Hof. This is where chef de cuisine Stefan Neugebauer reaches for the culinary sky and spoils his guests in the award-winning restaurant Schwarzer Hahn with his creative Haute cuisine du pays. His art of cooking lends the classical haute cuisine a distinctive regional flair. TOP VINEYARDS Only a few steps away from the Deidesheimer Hof, grapes are ripening in vineyards that belong to the best the Palatinate has to offer. Our sommelier together with renowned wine connoisseurs chooses the very best for our guests. The dazzling range supplied by more than 50 local wineries ranges from a simple Schoppenwein (table wine) to magnificent vintages. The international range of great wines stored in our cellars is no less tempting. The wine list includes more than 650 bottles and instinctively we will ensure that you find the one that is right for you.
The historical castle vaults provide an extraordinary setting for banquets and entertainment, shows and presentations. The cellars will easily accommodate even larger parties of up to 160 persons and its ambiance triggers the very nice feeling of attending a special event in a unique environment. Guests who are looking for a more intimate setting for a celebration will like the Cyriakus vaults. LOCATION MATTERS The Deidesheimer Hof is located at the historical market square of the town of Deidesheim. We are surrounded by top wineries close by in the neighbourhood and immediately behind, guests can see the vineyards where the wooded hills of the Pfälzerwald border the sea of grapes.
