Sysco Quality Assurance received notification that RESER S FINE FOODS is EXPANDING their voluntary product RECALL of Refrigerated ready-to-eat products. The products in question were manufactured at the Topeka, KS salad manufacturing facility from 9-5-13 through 10-9-13. No other Reser s Fine Foods, Inc. manufacturing facilities are involved in this recall. The reason for the RECALL is because the products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria is an organism which can cause serious and sometime fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and individuals with weakened immune systems. Healthy people may suffer only short term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant woman. NO illnesses have been reported to date. Our records show that this product may have been sent to your location.
