Festive Food in the James Martin Restaurant It just wouldn t be Christmas without turkey! As well as tasty turkey from local farmers, Pollards, our seasonal menu offers some of James s favourites such as Christmas pudding ice cream, served with satsumas and caramel sauce, both at lunchtime and in the evening. CHRISTMAS HOUSE PARTY Christmas at the Talbot... Warming log fires, traditional decorations, gentle festive atmosphere, deliciously scrumptious food and the comforts of a gracious country hotel combined with a level of unfussy service you might have thought had long disappeared. Expect all this and more - don t forget to try our quiz! You are offered a flexible choice of staying for two nights or more. Full details of the menus are available on our website. Christmas Eve, Wednesday 24th December 2.30pm 6.00pm - 7.00pm Your room will be ready from 2.30pm. Arrive in time for afternoon tea served in the bar and drawing room. Join us for a pre-dinner glass of mulled wine and canapés in the drawing room and bar, and enjoy listening to our local carol singers. 7.00-7.30pm A delicious four-course dinner is served in the James Martin Restaurant. 11.30pm TARIFF For those wishing to celebrate Midnight Mass the beautiful St Michael s Church is just a short walk from the Talbot. Why not join us afterwards for hot chocolate and mince pies served in the candlelit Drawing Room?
