MEETING WITH / Xavier de Rozières Director of Château de Lastours The ALLARD family arrived at Lastours 10 years ago. Launching a series of developments, in order to restore the property ; replan=ng over 70 hectares of vines, moderniza=on of the equipment, building a brand new winery, as well as working on the bosles packaging. And to make it a paradise, an olive grove of 4,000 trees and thousands of oleander and Mediterranean trees were planted. This fundamental work is a success, we are now classified as an High Environmental Value company. Our wines have won several awards such as 5 gold medals and 1 silver medal on the 8 Château de Lastours wines that we have presented at the «Concours Général Agricole» taking place in Paris. A magic and =meless majes=c site. 850 hectares with a castle of the XII Century and located at the border of the Mediterranean sea. Belonging to the P. and J. Allard family. Their passion for wine and instant asrac=on to the superb terroir of Château de Lastours, led the Allard family to render the Château s splendor for its wines of worldwide renown, which combine intensity, complexity, elegance and subtlety. VINYARDS The Château de Lastours got the high environmental value label by the Ministry of Agriculture Our domaine establishes of 100 hectares of vineyards and 10 hectares of 4000 olive trees. 53 plots of vines with 10 different climate and ground. Old vines of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault and Mourvedre. Our terroir offers ideal geological and clima=c condi=ons; we apply the principles of the integrated farm management. The Fabulous «Flying Winemaker» Stéphane Derenoncourt is our advice to op=mize our level of quality wines. PRODUCTION TOOLS An Energy efficient site with stainless tanks and wine storehouse with more than 200 barrels, combining tradi=on and modernity. WINES Our range of wines, the highlights of Languedoc only pleasure. Château de Lastours, Château des Aladères and Château de Fontjoncouse wines with strong personali=es as well as aroma=c complexity and freshness. Some of them are aged in oakbarrels.
