Useful Information for New Riders WEST SURREY CTC Organised cycle rides events open to all & April - June 2017 West Surrey CTC organises rides to suit the ability and inclination of a wide range of cyclists. Organised rides for the next three months are shown below. If you would like to.know more about any particular ride, please phone the ride leader Rides are graded 1 to 4 depending on average speed and distance. For full details please /http://westsurreyctc.co.uk/ride-groups/ride-guide visit Group Riding Guidelines: group riding is a wonderfully sociable way to cycle and also provides you with support when out riding; there will always be someone there to help you mend a puncture or help deal with a malfunction. However, group riding requires even greater discipline and awareness than solo cycling and the club s Group Riding Guidelines set out in detail the responsibilities of all riders, and is essential reading if you'd like to ride with us. Visit http://westsurreyctc.co.uk/rides-and-events/rideguidelines/ If they look rather daunting, don't worry because once you're out riding, you'll appreciate that it's all common sense advice anyway and the leader will explain anything.you're not clear about Changes to Published Rides: late or last minute changes to rides (e.g. as a result of adverse weather conditions) are advised in the Latest News section of the website (in the middle of the Welcome / Home page). Do take a moment to check the website before heading off on any ride. You can receive e-mail alerts of all new postings simply by /signing up at: http://westsurreyctc.co.uk/category/blogs :You can also find the same information on the club Facebook page /https://www.facebook.com/groups/wsctcmembers Changes may also be advised by way of a group e-mail. If you want to receive these e- mail notifications, please go to the Welcome page on our website, look for Quick Links on the right hand side, and click on Sign up for announcements etc (the 5th item down)..there you'll be able to specify which group(s) you'd like to receive announcements about
