From the most formal wedding gala to the casual family reunion picnic, we are happy to assist you in hosting your special occasion. We have a variety of spaces available, one of which is sure to suit your rehearsal dinner, retirement party, family/class reunion, graduation, bridal or baby shower, holiday gathering, birthday or anniversary, just to name a few. We also have spaces available for all day business meetings, training seminars, whatever your space needs are, MYC will make the club work for you. Use of Facility Our facilities are available to Muskegon Yacht Club members and their sponsored guests. All food and beverage must be provided by MYC, no outside food or beverage may be brought in, with the exception of cakes, and it must be noted on your event order. Guarantee Policy A guaranteed number of guests must be received three days (72 hours) prior to the event. This is the minimum number for which you will be charged. Muskegon Yacht Club will prepare food for 5% above the designated guaranteed count. An increase in attendance will be accepted up to 2 days (48) hours prior to event. No reduction in guarantee will be accepted less than three business days prior to the event. Event Requirements Room set-up needs and food & beverage menu selections should be confirmed three weeks prior to an event, but NO LATER THAN 7 days prior. Last minute changes are subject to additional charges. Alcohol Michigan Law requires all alcohol consumed on MYC property be purchased from Muskegon Yacht Club. All alcohol purchased from MYC must be consumed on MYC property. MYC reserves the right to require identification/proof of age from any one in attendance. Please make sure your guests have a valid state license or ID. MYC will not serve minors and has the right to close an event due to minors drinking alcohol. MYC has the right to refuse service to any individual. MYC has a Private Club license that has strict rules. A private bar set up is available for your event, but must adhere to Muskegon Yacht Club rules and Michigan Liquor Control Commission Guidelines. MYC will stop any event that violates any alcohol policy that will put them in jeopardy of its liquor license, without notice or refund. Cancellation Policy Notice of cancellation must be received in writing to the Club Manager 10 days prior to the event. If less than 10 day notice is given, a charge of 50% of the estimated total food expense will be assessed. Deposits are non-refundable, if given adequate cancellation notice; a voucher will be given for a future event. To use the voucher, the voucher holder must be a member of Muskegon Yacht Club.

Liability Damage done to the property as a result of a private function will be at the host organizations expense. Muskegon Yacht Club cannot assume responsibility for the damage to, or loss of, any articles left prior to, during or following an event. Deposits and Billing An advance deposit of 50% of the total event estimate is due 7 days prior to the event. After your event you will receive a final bill with your remaining balance. Final balance payments are expected within 10 days of your event date. All food and beverage is subject to an 18% service charge and 6% Michigan State sales tax. MYC SPACES The Lakeview Room ($200) - second level The Round Room & Bar ($250) - main level (available only on Mondays or when club is closed) The Dining Room ($150) - main level, adjacent to kitchen area The Octagon Building ($400) - main level, separate from clubhouse The Lawn /Outdoor areas ($200) The Muskegon Yacht Club also has a wonderful lawn and outdoor areas. The fee for outdoor space is $200, regardless of space. If you should require tents or additional tables/chairs, that may incur additional charges as well. Please ask about our outside options should you prefer to hold your event outdoors. Seating capacity varies depending on the seating style and space you choose. Of course the best way to get an idea of event set up is to visit the club, and talk with our staff to ensure the best space possible for your function. Please note that the only fully private space is the second level, Lakeview Room. All other spaces would include being adjacent to or in traffic areas and in view of other club activities/functions on a regular business day. Any event needing complete privacy, and not hosted in the Lakeview Room, would need to be scheduled on a non-business day for the club.

(full bar or beer & wine only options available) Bartender fee for Open Bar & Limited Bar Options: $50 Mini-Bar: Beer & Wine stocked prior to event and charged on consumption to member account upon conclusion of event. Self Service - No bartender *By law, Muskegon Yacht Club may not sell alcohol to a non-member. All alcoholic beverages available at your event must be charged to a member account. MYC is not able to provide cash bars for your event.
