a tradition for over 125 years The Confiserie-chocolaterie VANPARYS was founded in 1889 by felix vanparys near the sablon at the heart of old brussels. From the start, the recipe and preparation of the authentic dragées was created - still scrupulously followed today. the dragées have been always been loved for celebrating life s major events, such as weddings, EXPO 58 christenings, birthdays - from the belle-époque at the end of the 19th century, to the world exhibition of 1958. Vanparys v Today, at the manufacture vanparys, the authentic dragées are prepared with great care : the best selection of almonds ; the maître-chocolatier selects the finest chocolate blends, and then adds a number of very thin sugar coatings which are prepared in traditional rotating copper vats, at a precise temperature and with a precise number of rotations that make the unique taste of the authentic vanparys dragées. 3
