Here at the Gumdale Tavern if you want a professionally run function than you re in luck, our dedicated team will make sure your Function goes off without a hitch. Allow us to make your special event a memorable one. Whether your entertaining important clients, celebrating a birthday or engagement The Gumdale Tavern is here to cater to your needs. At the Gumdale Tavern we can host cocktail parties, engagements, birthdays, corporate events and Christmas parties. We have our outside Terrace area and a Bistro area, consisting of a full bar. There is a space that will suit any occasion. We provide expert advice from our Management team in the planning, delivery and completion of your event. Simply contact our Hotel Manager and we will do our best to accommodate the needs of you and your guests. Function Spaces Gumdale Tavern Restaurant A spacious area that s boasts its signature fire place and offers a kids room where the kids will be entertained for hours, it features an area for older children with play stations, chocolate machines, reading station and a coloring in area. This area can seat up to 60 people for a sit down style and up to 80 people for a cocktail standing event. The Terrace This space can be catered for a sit down dining or a cocktail experience. This area can hold up to 60 people. This is the ultimate location to hold you re Function with the newly renovated and modern feel Terrace.

Music We are able to provide music through all areas of the Tavern all areas can be set up to source music from your own personal music device or Ipod. The GumdaleTavern also has entertainment running on some specific nights, the Hotel Manager will advise you of these, should you not want this to coincide with your Function another day maybe organized or a Fee will need to be paid for us to cancel entertainment that we have on that day/night. Decorations If you want Decorations for your function we are able to supply table cloths and balloons only any other extras are at cost price. Christmas decorations can be provided for Christmas parties on request. You are quite welcome to bring any other decorations you want and we are happy to put any decorations up. Please just ask the Hotel Manager for further information regarding decorating your Function area; we are more than happy to help. Food and Beverage If you wish to bring a cake in for your function that is not a problem, however we do ask that no other forms of food or beverages be brought into the venue. We do offer a wide variety of platters, which you can choose from according to your needs. We have the facilities to run a bar tab, this can be confirmed on the day. All tab s (food/drink) will only be run after a credit card has been handed over for security purposes. Dress Regulations Smart casual dress must be worn after 9pm. This means no dirty work cloths, thongs, singlet s and no hats are too be worn.
Responsible Service of Alcohol Our venue is committed to the responsible serving of alcohol We aim to provide a safe and friendly environment for all our guests and staff which we have a legal obligation under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998. All our staff are trained in the Responsible Service of Alcohol. We seek the co-operation of patrons to assist us in achieving our aim to provide the best possible experience for you and your guests. The following RSA practices are implemented for all functions: Whilst the final decision in respect to RSA issues will at all times be the responsibility of the venue, we require you to nominate a responsible person to assist our staff with any issues regarding liquor service at your function. Minors are permitted at the function only under the direct and constant supervision of a parent or legal guardian. We allow minors to be on premises for the duration of the function or until 9.30pm as per our house policy. Water and non alcoholic beverages will be readily available at all times. We reserve the right to limit the quantity of alcohol consumed by any particular guest. We reserve the right to stop the supply of alcohol to the function guests, or any particular guests if it becomes apparent at anytime (even prior to scheduled finish) that guests are unduly intoxicated. We reserve the right to close down the function if the behavior of the guests becomes unacceptable. Guests who are unduly intoxicated will not be served any alcohol and will be required to leave the premises. All guests are encouraged to ensure they have safe transport from the function. Staff will offer to call a taxi for any guests We respect our neighbors and neighborhood and encourage our customers to leave the premises and be mindful of this when leaving.
Terms and Conditions 1. The food component of your function is to be paid in full 72 hours prior to the function date. Liquor charged on consumption basis may be settled by way of cash or credit card at the conclusion of the function. Company or personal cheque will be accepted, however, payment by this method must be made 2 weeks prior to the event to allow for our processing and clearing of the cheque. 2. The GumdaleTavern requires to be informed of final numbers at least 72 hours prior to the function date along with additional payment and client s choice of menus, platters, room set ups and times must be confirmed no less than 14 working days prior. 3. The free room hire applies only to an agreed minimum spend when an area generally used for service is being used for a function. Expected Conduct & Loss and Damage of Property 1. The client shall conform to the requirements of Local Government Acts & The Gumdale Tavern s policies and will be liable for any breach of these 2. The management of the Gumdale Tavern reserves the right to remove patrons attending functions from the premises for unruly behavior and/or showing signs of intoxication as determined by the management s discretion or by the Responsible Service of Alcohol Regulations. 3. The client shall remain responsible at all times for any loss or damage to the property of the Hotel caused by the client, guests and invites. 4. We are extremely careful when looking after guests and their property, but unfortunately cannot take responsibility for the damage or loss of items belonging to guests before, during or after a function. 5. We have a dress code and suggest that all guests to functions are informed that a reasonable standard of dress is required. Fancy Dress is permitted. 6. All 18 th and 21 st Birthday Celebrations will be required to leave credit card details. In the event of loss or damage to property of the Gumdale Tavern, the card will be charged accordingly. Additional Services 1. If you require a security guard to exclusively serve your function, allowing only invited guests to attend, this must be organized at least 1 week prior to the event at a cost of $50.00 per hour. 2. Decorations may be supplied by the client however no items are to be attached, pinned or glued to any of the wall surfaces without prior approval from management. Minors 1. Management must be made aware of minors attending functions. 2. Minors must be under constant and strict supervision by their legal guardian at all times whilst on premises. M 3. It is illegal to serve alcoholic beverages to any person under 18 years of age and the Gumdale Tavern reserves the right to request suitable identification. Unforeseen Circumstances & Prices 1. In the event of inability to comply with any of the provisions of this contract by virtue of any cessation or interruption of electricity supplies, equipment failure, unavailability of food items, other unforeseen contingency or accident, the Hotel reserves the right to cancel any booking without notice. 2. We will make every endeavor to maintain our prices; however we reserve the right to vary any quotes in the event of cost price increases in any foods and services supplied by us. Thank you for considering our establishment for your function. Please sign below to show you have read and understood the above document. It is understood that when you book your function with us this document becomes a contract between us. We also require a $100 deposit to secure your booking, this will be taken off your final bill/tab on the night of your function, whether you get platters or drinks.
