MONFORTE (200gm) $16.50 SEMI-HARD, COW S MILK ADELAIDE HILLS, SA Monforte is made in a large wheel that takes six months to mature. It has wellbalanced full flavour which the cheese-maker describes as a herbaceous taste with roasted hazelnut undertones and an umami back flavour. LA VERA CASALINGO VINTAGE (150gm) $5.95 HARD, COW S MILK ADELAIDE, SA This is a handmade cheese which exhibits a full bodied flavour that lingers with complex after tones. The interior is moist, yet slightly crumbly with a creamy mouth-feel. BLUE D AUVERGNE AOP (125gm) $7.60 BLUE, COW S MILK AUVERGNE, FR It has a natural rind encasing an ivory white interior through which the blue grey moulds grow. The texture is firm yet creamy and the blue mould provides a piquant spiciness that is balanced by the saltiness of this cheese.
