the application process Applications open online in mid-august at Selection Process The key considerations we apply in the assessment of applications for Pasar Malam are: Type and origin of food (we endeavour to represent as many corners of the globe as possible at the event, and will preference cuisines that are not widely represented by other applicants) Prior experience/attendance at Pasar Malam and/or other food markets Flexibility and ability to fit in with other stallholders and work with Curtin Student Guild event organisers What Happens Next? Successful stallholders will be notified via email and issued an invoice after applications have closed. Pasar Malam is a large and complex event. During bump-in, event duration, and bump-out, there is a lot going on. To ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all, all stallholders are required to attend an onsite induction and food safety briefing prior to the event. This covers all operational health and safety issues and local government requirements, and will make the event a safer environment for you, your employees and patrons. Stallholders who fail to attend the induction and food safety briefing will not be permitted to trade at the event.
