Fellow goat producers, The National Kiko Registry would like to extend to you a special invitation to the Cumberland Meat Goat Conference and Spotlight Kiko Sale on Friday and Saturday, May 19-20, at the Hyder-Burkes Ag Pavilion at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tenn. Whether you want to buy goats, sell goats or just learn more about goat production, this event will have something for everyone. And the location makes it an ideal spot to plan your family vacation. All day Friday and continuing on Saturday morning, experts will address topics designed to help you improve your goat herd management and increase the profitability of your operation. The popular goat meat taste-testing will be back on Friday with NKR clients preparing their favorite dishes for attendees to sample. There s also the Friday night social event where everyone has a chance to visit with old friends or meet new ones during a fun, relaxed evening get-together. And yes, there will be plenty of refreshments! Educational seminars start back up on Saturday morning followed by a delicious goat meat lunch at noon. Then the highlight of the weekend begins at 1 p.m. the Spotlight Kiko Auction of approximately 100 head of top-quality Kiko does and 10 bucks from around the country. This selection will provide a variety of quality Kikos from which to choose. If you are looking to begin your Kiko herd, upgrade your present herd or expand your meat goat operation, it will be worth your time to visit the many Kiko producers that will be on hand in Cookeville and look at the Kiko goats offered at auction. If you cannot attend the sale in person, the auction will be broadcast live on the National Kiko Registry Facebook Page. After the sale, we will help get your goat safely delivered to you.
