As you start to climb higher on this alpine adventure, you will come across the perfect rustic lunch spot in the heart of the magnificent valley. After lunch, you will cross the border into France and into the Aquitaine region. Driving through the French countryside will inevitably lead you towards more gastronomic delights. Your drive will begin on a scenic route through the Gers farmland, known as one of France s sleepiest regions. Free from motorways and high rise buildings, take in the fresh air and enjoy the unspoilt surroundings, with the church bells as your soundtrack and never-ending fields as your backdrop. For lunch, a picnic.
