Question Testbank for Horticulture 471/871, Vines, Wines and You Paul E. Read, Professor Horticulture/Viticulture This testbank of 30 questions was created to be initially used as a study guide for students taking Horticulture 471/871, Vines, Wines and You. The course has been taught twice as a trial balloon under the HORT 396 Topics designation. Now that it has been approved by the several requisite curriculum committees and has its own number (HORT471/871), it is envisioned that questions in this testbank, along with ones to be added, could be used for quic purposes also. The randomization capabilities afforded by the EDU system, both within and among questions, are invaluable in enhancing the student study opportunities and the power of testing options for the instructor. Questions 1 through 10 are Multiple Choice items that include information that should be useful as study aids, as well as providing specifics about viticulture and winemaking. Q.1.1 The species that includes the Classic wine grapes and most table grape cultivars is: Vitis vinifera Q.1.2 Norton (a.k.a. Cynthiana ) is the most widely planted wine grape in Missouri and is often cited as an example of a commercial wine grape derived from what species?
