exceptional experiences Chef s Table A Chef s Table is the ultimate customizable dining experience. Whether you are celebrating an intimate occasion or partaking in a Chef s Table with a group of friends, we guarantee it will be a culinary experience to remember! Chef s tables are multi-course dinners thoughtfully paired with cocktails, spirits, beer and/or wine. Our talented team works closely with you to develop a menu to fit your occasion. Chef s tables require 30 days notice and are not available during peak business times, including event and concert nights. Please inquire with our Events Coordinator for more information. Exclusive Cocktail Demonstration Wheelhouse is known for our one-of-a-kind signature cocktails. This is the perfect opportunity for your guests to engage with our bar team, while learning about the spirits and products used in our signature drinks. This interactive experience gives your guests an inside look at the craft and creation that goes into our artisan cocktails. All guests will receive a cocktail from the demonstration. Cocktail demonstrations are available beginning at $15 per person. Exclusive In-Room Bar Set-Up This option creates an experience that allows your guests to engage with our bar team as they handcraft a variety of cocktails. Work with our Events Coordinator to create the perfect bar set up for your occasion. This option can be available for the entire time of your event, or for a cocktail hour before dinner. private event beverage program Wheelhouse has one of the most extensive beverage programs in Grand Rapids featuring a vast selection of handmade cocktails, unique wines, spirits, and craft beers. Your consumption-based, customized beverage package options are endless. You will work directly with our Events Coordinator to create the perfect beverage list for your event. Open Bar This hosted bar option allows your guests to have access to our full beer, wine, cocktail menu. Premium Bar This hosted bar option includes select beer, wine, cocktails and spirits for $12 and under. Select Bar This hosted bar option includes select beer, wine, cocktails and spirits for $10 and under. Beer & Wine Service Limit your beverage offerings to beer and wine at your event. Work with our Events Coordinator to select beer and wine that will perfectly complement your event menu. Wine is charged by the bottle, as it is opened. You are allowed to cork any purchased open wine that is not consumed at your event and take it home with you. Champagne Service This is the perfect way to celebrate any occasion! Choose the right champagnes or sparkling wines for your event. Champagne and sparkling wine is charged by the bottle, as it is opened. parking Valet Valet service is available to Wheelhouse guests on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5-11pm. The cost for valet is $12 per vehicle, gratuity for valet attendants is not included. Your guests may utilize our valet service during your event. If you would like to host valet for your guests, please let our Events Coordinator know prior to your event. At the end of your event, please notify your server how many cars were checked into valet. Vouchers will be provided to your guests to redeem their vehicle. $12 per voucher will be added to your final bill. Valet total does not factor into your private event food and beverage minimum. Arena Place Parking Ramp Entrance to this parking ramp is located on Weston Ave. at the north end of our block. There is signage that indicates Arena Place Parking Ramp. Your guests take a parking ticket as they enter the ramp and will pay upon exiting. Parking rates are $2.50 per half-hour. Maximum day rate of $22 and maximum evening rate of $15. All major credit cards accepted. You may also host this option for your guests. Check with the Event Coordinator for details. To access Wheelhouse from the parking ramp, guests will take the elevators on the east side of the level that they park on. Elevators are designated with signs that say Residential and Ottawa Street Elevators. Take these elevators to the first floor. Guests will arrive in the foyer of the Arena Place leasing office, where they will exit the front door onto the sidewalk of Ottawa St. Guests will take a right and Wheelhouse is the next location on their right side. Street Parking There is limited street parking available on Ottawa St. in front of the Wheelhouse. These parking spaces are not guaranteed and are on a first come first serve basis. These are metered parking spaces. Guests will have to use the Motu Parking app on their mobile device to load money for the space, or use the kiosk located at the north end of the block.
rentals & extras Linens Linens are available to order for your event. These are custom orders for each event. Multiple colors and sizes are available. Cocktail Tables Add a more casual feel to your event with cocktail tables. Cocktail tables are available to add to your event for an additional $10 per table. 30 inch round tables are available in 30 inch and 42 inch height. Music Choose the perfect playlist for your private event with customizable music playlists by Wheelhouse. Consult with our Events Coordinator regarding playing your own music (ie. Pandora/Apple Music/Spotify). Video Complimentary video capabilities are included with the rental of our Porch space. However, if you are interested in a custom video display in the Bar Area during your event, the charge will be $50. All video must be approved by Wheelhouse management prior to your event. Floral Looking to add floral centerpieces or specialized décor to your event? Wheelhouse has working relationships with local florists and would be happy to connect you with them based on your needs. policies Deposit To reserve the event space at Wheelhouse, we require a valid credit card for deposit. Please send this along with the private dining agreement. We will not charge your card for deposit if you adhere to the stated policies contained in your dining agreement. Wheelhouse has first refusal rights. Prices, menu and availability are subject to change without notice. Guest Attendance Requirements Host must confirm guest count with Wheelhouse 72 hours prior to event date. Once the 72-hour guest confirmation has been given, the host will be financially responsible for a fee of $25/absent guest if 75% of the confirmed guest count is not met. Product availability not guaranteed and additional charges apply. Service Fee/Service Requirements A 6% Michigan sales tax and a 20% service fee will be added to all final bills for food and beverage. Tax-exempt guests must notify Wheelhouse prior to event and provide a copy of your tax exempt notification letter with your Tax ID number. Corking Fee Wheelhouse will charge a $25 corking fee for any wine or champagne brought in from guests. Payment Payment in full is expected at time of departure. No separate checks unless approved by management prior to event. Payment may be made by cashier s check, corporate check, cash or major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). We do not accept personal checks. Please make Corporate checks payable to: Wheelhouse Kitchen and Cocktails. Cancellations Cancellations made up to two weeks prior to your event date will be charged $100. This charge covers coordination and other incurred costs. Any cancellations made within 2 weeks of your event date will be charged $250. Any cancellation made within 72 hours will be fiscally responsible for all food and other costs associated with the planned event based on the final guaranteed attendance. Corporate Event Planning No matter the size of your event, Wheelhouse ensures strict attention to detail, top-notch performance, aesthetic presentation, and ultimate flexibility. Our Event Manager can provide additional services such as floral, decorations, outdoor equipment, A/V rental (inquire about pricing), photography, and live entertainment. Prices subject to individual needs. All decorations must be approved by Wheelhouse management and removed by the guest at departure. Use of staples, pins, nails etc. are not permitted. At the request of the guest, we will supply all music. Bands, DJs and other forms of music are prohibited without prior approval by Wheelhouse.
