ABOUT THE COMPANY
RIBEIRO D.O The Ribeiro D.O. is recognised since 1.932. However in as early as 1.594, municipal ordinances regulated the production of wine. The region is 2.800 hectares wide and is located in South of Galicia on the banks of rivers Miño, Avia and Arnoia. Due to its privileged location, the Ribeiro is protected by natural barriers from subatlantic storms and enjoys mild temperatures, optimal conditions for vine growing. In this soil of granitic origin are produced some of the best wines in Spain.
PRIORATO DE RAZAMONDE, S.L. The vineyard is located at the heart of El Ribeiro. What was at first a small family business with barely a hectare of land, grew into a renovated winery with a rural estate of 28 hectares.
THE STORY BEHIND Priorato de Razamonde is the result of the work of many generations dedicated to vineyard growing and wine making. It is a family who had to leave their land, but dreamed of coming back to recuperate their history and build their future in the Ribeiro. FACT SHEET - The company was founded in 1998. - It changed its name to Priorato de Razamonde this year. - The family business can be traced back to the beginning of the 20th century. - The company has been selling its wine under the brand Alter since the 2012 vintage. - In 2014, it acquired the estate A Granxa in Razamonde, with buildings from the 17th century for the winery and the main office. - It is now a rural estate of 28 hectares of land, of which 24 are planted with vines. - Wines are planted in trellis with a planting pattern (2,3x1,1 m) that allows mechanical cultivation. - 90% of production are white grapes (Treixadura, Godello and Loureira) and 10% are red (Sausón and Godello). - In 2015, 160.000kg of grapes were harvested.

Pleasant final flavour of sweet fruit. PAIRING: Fish, seafood and rice dishes. Soft cheeses. STORAGE - Position: Lateral - Temperature: 7-8 degrees centigrade
ALTER RED 2017 APPELLATION : Ribeiro Red ANALYTICAL PARAMETERS: - Alcohol: 13 % - Total Acidity: 5,3 (g/l tartaric) VARIETY: Brancellao, Souson PACKAGING - Bottle: Bordeaux 750 ml. - Presentation: 2 bottles boxes 6 and 12 bottles cases Magnum boxes and kits TASTING - Appearance: High layer, garnet red colour with violet reflections. - Aroma: Complex, with intense aromas of red fruits that prevail in the ageing notes. - Palate: With good structure, well balanced, persistent, noble and clean. Long retro-nasal flavour. PAIRING: Galician dishes such as octopus, pork with turnip greens, stews. Grilled or char-broiled meats and rice dishes. Fresh fruit notes: peach, pear, loquat, mandarin, melon (with subtle floral reminiscences) - Palate: Good structure in the mouth, with a strong fruity presence and a final slightly citric that brings freshness and tenacity.
