hat is The Canberra Times Good Food Month? The Canberra Times Good Food Month presented by Citi and in association with Enlighten Festival is back again for 2016 and we re excited! Here to celebrate all that is incredible about Canberra s wonderful culture and food, we are encouraging all cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs to participate. We are introducing a refresh to Good Food Month this year with new category headings, new concepts and new ideas. We would love for you to be part of the program so get those thinking caps on and start doing what you do best! Good Food Month is here to showcase what is most exciting about our world-class food and wine scene, vibrant culinary diversity and fantastic local produce.
Key Selection Criteria Your Event Concept/Submission Your event is held between 1-31 March 2016. You highlight quality food/drink experiences and strengths of your business. Your offering is unique and specially designed for Good Food Month. Do not use existing offers or menus in the Festival program. You offer good value when compared to normal event pricing. You deliver a premium event in line with the Good Food Month objectives. You agree to all terms and conditions specific to some of the event categories. If you represent a group of venues or restaurants we recommend you nominate ONE person in your organisation to register multiple events. General Terms and Conditions Four promotional tickets must be made available to Good Food Month organisers for PR and VIP hospitality opportunities. Your event must be open to the public. All festival event submissions are subject to approval by the Good Food Month team. Some events require Good Food Month sponsors to be recognised. How to Register it s never been easier! It s never been simpler to register for the 2016 Canberra Times Good Food Month. Categories are broader, restrictions have been reduced and for the first time in Good Food Month history registration is FREE. STEP BY STEP REGISTRATION PROCESS 1. Chefs, owners, managers come up with a unique event that showcases you, your restaurant and what you do best. 2. Head to http://canberratimesgoodfoodmonth2016-holdanevent.floktu.com/ and choose the category you would like to partake in. 3. Fill in all mandatory fields in the registration form and upload beautiful food and venue shots of at least 300dpi (please DON T upload branded logos). 4. Once you receive a confirmation email from us, update any final information in your registration prior to January 18. 5. Check out your event listing in our printed program and online on February 10.
Good Food Month Program The Canberra Times Good Food Month showcases all that is exciting about Canberra s dynamic food and drinks culture. REMEMBER all events, offerings and deals need to be UNIQUE to the Good Food Month festival. Everyone is invited to participate including: - Restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs - Food precincts and community groups - Artisan food businesses and farmers markets - Regional food groups, food tour operators and festivals - Cultural institutions with a food-focussed event - Food forums and special interest groups
Marketing Overview Campaign Overview Participation in Good Food Month profiles your event (and your business) within the official program via an extended marketing and promotional campaign, beginning in January 2016 and continuing through the festival month of March. Good Food Month is promoted via Fairfax print publications (newspapers and magazines), on-line (web, social, EDM), outdoor (targeted flyering campaigns, venue advertising) and media partners. All advertising include a strong call to action to view the program which your event will be included within and to visit goodfoodmonth.com. Fairfax works with a PR agency to deliver a strong PR campaign aimed at maximum editorial opportunities for Good Food Month as a festival. Marketing Promotion Kits All registered companies will be provided with a Marketing & PR Kit to assist with their promotions of participating within Good Food Month. This will include a PR form, digital banners, logos, suggested copy and images as well as a collateral pack with programs, postcards and decals to distribute and display. Collective promotion from participating companies has an immense impact on overall Good Food Month bookings and attendance.
