Ware Reunion Dinner at Shields Tavern The wait staff will be adorned in colonial attire and as your guests are seated, they will assist in tying the large, white tavern napkins around your guests necks. This is how they dined in the 18 th century! During dinner, colonial balladeers will make entertain your guests at different intervals of the evening. They will play instruments such as the mandolin or violin, and may even sing a tavern song or two! Walking Tour of Colonial Williamsburg Take a step back in time and get a first-hand look at life in the 18 th century America. The tour will highlight the history of the restoration of Williamsburg and the lifestyles of its people in Colonial America. 1
Tour of Jamestown Settlement Visit the newly opened exhibit of The World of 1607 and see iconic artifacts from museums, libraries and private collections from more than ten countries. The tour continues in Jamestown Settlement which was originally built fifty years ago to commemorate the 350 th anniversary of the First Permanent English Settlement at Jamestown. Tour and Tasting at the Williamsburg Winery This guided tour includes a video presentation on grape growing and winemaking, a stroll through the barrel cellar, and a visit to the production area. For the grand finale of the tour, you will sit down in Wessex Hall for a wine tasting where you will enjoy a collection of seven of Williamsburg s unique tasting wines while sampling a selection of cheeses. Tour of Norfolk Naval Base and Nauticus to include Memorial Ceremony with Wreath Presentation This tour provides an up-close look at a wide range of ships, from frigates and destroyers to aircraft carriers and amphibious assault ships. 75 ships and 134 aircraft are home-ported here, and when they are not at sea they're alongside one of the 13 piers or inside one of the 11 aircraft hangars for repair, refit, and training to provide the ship's or squadron's crew an opportunity to be with their families. The next stop will be Nauticus, home of the Battleship Wisconsin. This guided tour includes exhibits such as the Jamestown Exposition, an examination of the period between 1880 and 1907, Secrets of the Deep, which has an actual submersible unit and a robotic arm, and an SOS Station, which simulates being suspended in orbit 22,000 miles above earth. The Horseshoe Crab Cove offers guests the chance to touch exotic sea animals. Nauticus has a café which offers sandwiches, salads, snacks and beverages where guests may have lunch on own, or at a nearby strip of restaurants on own. In conclusion, guests board USS Wisconsin to take part in a Memorial Ceremony with Wreath Presentation. 2
Tour of Yorktown Victory Center and Battlefields You will visit and tour the Yorktown Victory Center, America s evolution from colonial status to nationhood is chronicled through a unique blend of timeline, film, thematic exhibits and outdoor living history. An outdoor exhibit walkway details events that led to American colonies to declare independence from Britain. The next stop will be Yorktown Battlefields where American Independence was won! This is the site of the famous surrender of British troops under General Cornwallis to General George Washington that ended the American Revolutionary War. Along the way you will see different encampment sites of the British and American troops as well as a concrete structure that has been built that allows visitors to view the entire field. All activities include taxes, admission fees, transportation, and professionally trained guides which are very knowledgeable of the area.
