The winery Graf von Kanitz is located on the end of the Rheingau wine region, in the very heart of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site in Lorch, on the Rhine river. The river, the romantic Wispertal and the Rheingauberge characterize the landscape. 160 years ago, Josef and Wilhelm Zähringer founded Weingut Zähringer in Heitersheim, a town located on the outskirts of the Black Forest and steeped in tradition. Some things have certainly changed since it was founded but the basic principles for producing wine still remain the same: the unique landscape of the Baden wine region and passionately committed people in the vineyards, cellar and in the administration of the winery.
