Sweet Cherry Cultivars Bred in the Czech Republic J. Blazkova, F. Paprstein, J. Sedlak Research and Breeding Institute of Pomology Holovousy Ltd.
Introduction Since the establishment of the research institute in 1951, an inventory of sweet cherry cultivars had been carried out in the area of today's Czech Republic. Presently Kordia is considered to be a standard sweet cherry cultivar not only in Europe. Own breeding programme started in the sixties of the last century. Since then, this programme has successfully continued.
