The event will take place at the third edition of the International Vending Trade Show, VENDIBÉRICA 2015, organised by IFEMA, between 15-17 April 2015, in Hall 5 of FERIA DE MADRID. The event is held every two years as a professional function, and it is the only commercial space for the Spanish and Portuguese vending sector, which is experiencing a large growth according to the Associated Vending Suppliers Federation, a collaborator with the event. The best technological profile of the participating companies will be exhibited at Ruta VÍAINNOVA, a new initiative at the event. The function is completed with an intense schedule of activities, including the sampling sessions and presentations of the Día del Café, the 4th Barista Championship of Madrid, together with meetings in which the future of vending or proposals for hotel establishments will be analysed. VENDIBÉRICA 2015 has structured the exhibition into a series of sectors that offer the most complete vision of the industry: MaquiVending (Machine Vending); TecnoVending (Technology); CompoVending (Components for distribution); EquipaVending (Equipment); ServiVending (Services); ProductVending (Food products), and ConsumVending (Non-food products). An offer aimed at the wide range of professionals visiting the trade fair, formed by vending machine operators, decision makers of public and private companies, large companies and SMEs, and representatives of the hotel sector (cafés and the catering trade); tourist accommodation
(hotels, country homes ); communities (schools, hospitals, residences ); entertainment, sport and well-being facilities; passenger transport facilities; service stations, franchise establishments, and tobacco distributors.. Innovative nature VENDIBÉRICA is the best showcase for the innovative nature of this sector. In order to give the innovation presented by participating companies a better platform, the function has prepared the VIAINNOVA route, to which more than 40 companies have been added. The exhibiting companies have had the chance to access this new directory, in order to give their presentations a better platform, by means of their own space in the Visitor's Guide on the website, and with access to different promotional mediums, social networks and other platforms. Both by means of the innovative VIAINNOVA route, and by means of the offer directly presented on the stands, the vending professionals can see such interesting innovations as the vending machine supplier of hot drinks GPE Vendors Happy 500, of GPE Vendors Spain, which includes the option to control the status of the machine online; the machine presented by Mobiloso not even 25 cm deep, which makes it especially suitable for limited spaces and which, in addition, is equipped with an anti-vandalism coverage; solutions for payment methods like those that are proposed by Verifone with their UX payment model (allows GRPS or IP connection); Prodelfi, with their Cashphone mobile application, or Monyx App, which allows Smartphones to be used to buy items in vending machines in a fast and simple manner. In the scope of software and interactivity, other companies presenting solutions are Azkoyen, which have developed the Button Barista App, an application that is available for Android, which enables a greater control of the final product on behalf of the client. Innova Pos presents Smart Vending, which multiplies the management opportunities for sales points for any existing machine on the market. In packaging, innovations can also be found, like the range of double layer glasses with PEC certification, which certifies the paper used as deriving from sustainable forests, presented by the multi-national Finish
company, Huhtamaki. In terms of coffee, one of the sectors with the greatest potential in the vending industry, the new range of coffee makers from the Italian company Illy can be highlighted; Saeco Ibérica, with their Atlante 700 Capbean, especially appropriate for the consumption of large amounts in vending, or Apliven, with Sottovuoto, which ensures an optimum conservation of the properties of the coffee that it dispenses.. Programme of Activities Precisely the importance that coffee has in the vending sector has been the reason why INTERSICOP has created, within its programme of sessions, el Día del Café, in collaboration with the Cultural Café Forum. A workshop will take place on 16th April, in which the professionals to attend the event will be introduced, by means of presentations and sampling, to a business area that is experiencing a high rate of growth. In fact, a total of 180,000 of the 600,000 vending machines in Spain are devoted to coffee. In the same setting, also on the 16th April, the 4th Barista Championship of Madrid will take place. Organised by the Cultural Café Forum, the first Spanish organisation created for the dissemination of this product, the Championship is aimed at promoting coffee culture. At this event, a winner will be appointed, who will represent the Community of Madrid, in the Final of the 10th National Baristas Championship, which will be held in Malaga next October. In the rest of the sessions, the current state of this industry will be analysed. Thus, the PVA Federation proposes, on 15th April, the debate about the present, challenges and future of the vending sector in Spain. On the same day, and in the same place FreshForum, a space set up within Hall 5- the topic New technology at the operator's service: interactivity, telemetry and payment systems will be discussed. The sessions will end on 17th April, with the review of solutions, challenges and proposals of the vending industry in the hotel sector, in which a growing presence is being seen.. Strong sector
The vending sector is acquiring a growing importance in a greater number of establishments, not just in the hotel sector. The figures presented for Spain by PVA, Associated Vending Suppliers, speak for themselves: 20 million daily users of this type of machine; the industry creates 30,000 direct employees and the vending machine park is operated by some 2,000 companies. As far as coffee is concerned, it shifts 10,000 tons of this product each year in Spain, by means of 180,000 vending machines. On the other hand, this new edition of VENDIBÉRICA coincides with INTERSICOP, the International Bakery, Pastry and Related Industries Show, a function that is also organised by IFEMA, which celebrates its tenth edition to be held between 13-16 April, and the Gourmet Function, held on these same dates (13-16 April). The synergies between these events will be a great benefit for the professional visitors of the vending sector. The opening times of this third edition of the International Vending Trade Show, VENDIBÉRICA, will be every day from 15 to 17 April between 10.00 am and 7.00 pm. Finally, the professional visitors attending VENDIBÉRICA can access the programme IFEMA Plus, www.ifemaplus.ifema.es, in order to enjoy Madrid after each session of the Trade Fair with exclusive offers.
