Introduction Coming from a wine grower s family in Pomerol and niece of the famous flying winemaker Michel Rolland, Virginie Rolland did her own selection of French wines for the American market. Virginie Rolland inherited since a young age the passion for the environment of the wine. Ambitious with a taste pronounced for the journey, Virginie formed an experience and knowledge through her travels. After following the winemaking process in Napa Valley and Argentina as well as a lot of others wineries in France, Virginie confided a passion for the American market by working during two years as a wine buyer for a company in San Francisco. Virginie is now established in New York City where she is successfully developing her French wines importing company, currently working with 10 states on the East Coast of the United States. The company V. Rolland Selection distinguishes itself by a careful selection of craft wines and great partnerships with boutique vineyards. I do all the selection myself and adapt to the American Market in order to offer my customers great wines balancing fine quality, respect of the environment and a good value. The American market is extremely dynamic and shows a very strong interest in wines from the Old World, making it the largest in the world. Virginie Rolland 3

History Château de Gaure Son of a wine grower in the Garde and former director of Crowncork, a leading Belgian corporation, Pierre Fabre chose to return to his origins in 2004 with the purchase of Château de Gaure. The property dates back to prehistoric times and was once the site of an ancient Oppidum where numerous relics have also been found scattered throughout the property. In addition to being an accomplished winemaker Pierre is also a talented artist. His paintings adorn the walls in the cellar and each vintage features unique art for the bottle depicting original works by Pierre. Not only is the wine itself a work of art, the bottle is also truly a distinct representation of Pierre and his artistic vision. Pierre once said, painting has always been a way to escape to a better world. 24
