DAY 1: DEPART (Saturday) Depart from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to Montréal. Bienvenue dans La Belle Province! Your Forum Tour Manager will greet you at the airport and will remain with your group for the length of your stay. Check in to your hotel, drop off your luggage and freshen up. Then, follow your tour manager on a guided walking tour of Old Montréal and discover the picturesque charm of the Old Port. Enter the Notre Dame Basilica and admire the exquisite wood carvings and stained glass windows. Enjoy dinner with your group at a local restaurant. After dinner, head to Montréal s highest point, Mont Royal, for amazing panoramic views of the city from the Belvédère. Overnight accommodation at your hotel. DAY 2: MONTRÉAL (Sunday) Enjoy breakfast at your hotel with your group. Start your morning at the Musée Pointe à Caillière. A recognized national historical and archaeological site, travel through time from the first native settlers to present day. Later, head to the Maison Radio Canada (CBC). Jump into the magical world of the broadcast headquarters for Radio-Canada, the French language branch of the CBC that serves as the master control point for radio and television networks. Next, go to Jean Talon open market. Known for its locally-sourced fruits and vegetables, diversity, and most recently, a boutique featuring products made in Québec. Pick up some supplies for a picnic lunch (not included). In the afternoon, visit a Hydroelectric Plant in Rivières des Prairies and learn about Québec Province s role as a world leader in hydroelectric technology. Dine in the Old City before returning to your hotel. Tonight, spend some time at a unique outdoor skating rink in the Old Port. Lace up your skates and glide to the lively beat of the music. Overnight accommodation at your hotel. DAY 3: MONTRÉAL / QUÉBEC CITY (Monday) After breakfast at your hotel, visit a local high school where you will attend classes with local students. Get to know your new classmates during lunch in the school cafeteria. In the afternoon, board your private motor coach to Québec City, a UNESCO World Heritage City (approx. 3 hours). Then, participate in an architectural and historical treasure hunt in Old Québec! Later, meet your host family and get settled in. Dinner and overnight accommodation with your host family. DAY 4: QUÉBEC (Tuesday) After breakfast with your host family, visit the Musée de la Civilisation,
which takes students on a journey through the history of Québec. Head to the Plains of Abraham and partake in The Military, an interactive and informative workshop where you will revisit the living conditions of soldiers at the time of the 1759 and 1760 battles. Then, enter the Citadel and its historic buildings. Nicknamed the Gibraltar of America, the citadel was built between 1820 and 1850 and is the largest British fortress in North America. It used to house the French and then British garrison. Enjoy a cup of Earl Grey while learning about 19th-century etiquette at a traditional Tea Ceremony held in the traditional setting of the British Officers Mess. Then, traverse the majestic St. Lawrence River by ferry to enjoy a sailor s view of Château Frontenac. DAY 5: QUÉBEC CITY / CÔTE DE BAUPRE (Wednesday) After breakfast with your host family, head to the Copper Museum of Albert Gilles and watch a demonstration of Repoussé work. Board your private motor coach to Ste-Anne-de-Beaupre and visit its superb Basilica. Go to le Parc de la Chute Montmorency to see its incredible waterfall. Climb the 387 steps along the falls and admire the breathtaking views. Stop at Chez Marie Bakery to learn how bread is made and enjoy a maple butter tasting! Then head to Onhoüa Chetek8e, a Huron Indian village where you will discover the ancestral Huron lifestyle. Enjoy lunch in Onhoüa Chetek8e while listening to stories about the Huron s unique customs and way of life. DAY 6: QUÉBEC CITY (Thursday) Enjoy breakfast with your host family. Get ready for a unique winter adventure, dog sledding! After a short introduction to basic sledding techniques, meet the huskies and prepare for an exhilarating sled ride. Tour a Cabane à Sucre, or sugar shack, savor a typical lumberjack meal, and learn some traditional folk songs and dances. After your meal, try an authentic sugar tasting - ladle hot maple syrup onto the snow in front of you for a sweet snack of ice, snow and rapidly hardening maple toffee. Slide down the famous Glissades de la Promenade at the foot of Château Frontenac and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa. DAY 7: QUÉBEC CITY (Friday) After breakfast with your host family, meet your local guide and visit the Notre Dame de Québec Cathedral. Admire the intricate stained glass windows and golden sculptures.
Explore the Musée de l Amérique Francophone, which highlights French culture and influence in North America. Enjoy some free time for lunch in the historic downtown. Discover the Parliament Building, meeting place of the Assemblée Nationale du Québec, or National Assembly of Québec which is composed of 125 elected representatives. Later, walk over the Plains of Abraham with ease during a snowshoeing adventure and take in the spectacular view of the Saint-Lawrence River. DAY 8: DEPART (Saturday) After breakfast with your host family, board your private motor coach to Montreal. Upon arrival, explore the world famous underground city of Montreal.
