The Villa-Lucía Wine Culture Theme Centre, located in the town of Laguardia, in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa region, is a multi-function space covering an area of 10,000 m2 comprising airconditioned tents, ample gardens, and a building housing a restaurant, a catering service, a library, a wine shop, and a conventions centre with several rooms for wine tasting, exhibitions, meetings and dinners. GASTRONOMIC AREA The restaurant-grill Villa-Lucía, with kitchen and grill in view of customers, and where for the preparation and roasting of dishes are used environmentally friendly elements such as sustainable charcoal, wood thinning of mountains, strains and shoots, is the new central unit of this renewed project. The main dining room presents an industrial Vintage decoration in which metal, iron and wood are the protagonists, following the canons of the winery industry of the first third of the 20th century. In the same way, and with the same decoration, a private dining room is available for meetings, celebrations and more intimate meals. On the other hand, it has a large dining room of 400 m2 for holding celebrations, events and largerformat parties. These spaces have access to the gardens and, while time permits, you can enjoy nature while enjoying a wine accompanied by some pintxos, eat or dine, or simply share with a coffee or a drink in our Villa Lucía Vintage Terrace where musical dinners with live music and different styles are held. The gastronomic offer is led by the chef Juan Antonio Gómez with his creations but without forgetting the traditional cuisine of the region and Luchy Santamaría. VILLA-LUCIA WINE BAR AND TERRACE The Wine-bar Villa-Lucía, allows you to taste mainly Rioja Alavesa wines, although they are complemented by wines from other subzones of the D.O.Ca. Rioja and other national and international denominations. In the same way amazing cocktails made with wine can be tasted in the Wine-bar as well as in the vintage terrace.
MUSEUM The history and all the rituals surrounding wine are concentrated in this interactive theme space where you can learn about the secrets of wine through sensory activities and experiences. Discover the cultures and civilisations of wine that invite you to take a journey across time and space feeling the magic of the Wine Culture. Theainterpretation centre boasts a next generation 4D room equipped with the technology required to enjoy 3D viewing and surround sound, as well as touch, smell and other effects. In a Dreamland, the short film that opens projections in the 4D Room at The Villa-Lucía Wine Culture Theme Centre. An exclusive film that incorporates 3D, stereo cameras to create a 3D world and editing work that integrates computer generated images (3D animation) with real life images. The film invites the audience to discover the secrets of the Rioja Alavesa region with Vinfo as a guide. Vinfo is a wine elf created by animation experts who use motion capture techniques and real life effects generated by 4D technology to bring him to life. The audience is immersed in a wealth of wonderful sensations and becomes imbued with the aroma and taste of the Rioja Alavesa region in a trip to all the region s attractions, from the wine culture to the delicious cuisine, the historical and artistic heritage and outdoor activities, and to numerous options for taking a relaxing break.
