ATHLETICS / CAMPUS RECREATION THE FGCU TENNIS COMPLEX: Is located next to Alico Arena. Just a lob from the residence halls, the complex includes 12 lighted hard-surface courts with courtside bleachers. THE EAGLE CHALLENGE COURSE: Is located 18 miles north of the main campus. Set among 10 acres of lush fields pockets of pine upls oak hammocks, it s the perfect outdoor laboratory. THE WATERFRONT: Is situated within North Lake Village offers a variety of activities, including kayaks, canoes, sailboats, tubing, cornhole, swimming basking in the sun. THE ROC (RECREATION OUTDOOR COMPLEX): Is located adjacent to Alico Arena. This lighted outdoor facility includes two basketball courts two beach volleyball courts. THE LEE COUNTY/FGCU AQUATICS CENTER: Features two outdoor pools. The 50-meter, eight-lane lap pool has a movable bulkhead that converts the pool into a 25-yard, 16-lane lap pool. There is also a 25-yard, eight-lane pool used mostly for recreation. CAMPUS RESERVATIONS Florida Gulf Coast University has a variety of spaces available for reservation. Facilities can vary in style setup, supporting a wide range of needs, including seminars, banquets, professional conferences youth groups. 6 7 THE KLEIST HEALTH EDUCATION CENTER: Offers dynamic health education programs developmentally appropriate for ages 3 to adult. There are five core areas of education: general health, nutrition fitness, drug education, human growth development character education. WINE LAB: The School of Resort Hospitality Management has a sophisticated wine laboratory equipped with light panels for visual wine evaluation, a residential catering kitchen for wine pairings expert demonstrations, built-in spittoon-sinks for tasting, video internet technology to provide guests with the latest in oenological learning experiences. This unique room offers a wide range of tools to create an extremely interactive experience. CAMPUS TOURS: During your camp take advantage of a campus tour. As the campus grows, FGCU is an evermore exciting place to be. Student tour guides will provide information about campus life, involvement opportunities, academic programs more.
