We have found selections from all over the world, in Red, White and Rose. Wines from Australia, France, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, and the good old USA are listed below. The aromas and flavor show fresh berries, plums and vanilla. The palate is rich and plush with good structure. The soft velvety tannins provide balance and length. This wine can be enjoyed now, but will also improve with short-term cellaring. Count me a fan and it too will be incredibly versatile on the dinner table and drink well for upwards of a decade. Rated 91 Points - Robert Parker s Wine Advocate La Chapelle Du Bastion Picpoul de Pinet 2015 - France (not pictured) *National Average Retail Price: $12.00 This little white from the south of France is dry, clean and fresh with yellow peach and lemony citrus in the nose and mouth. The Picpoul grape variety is used to make light white wines and Armagnac. The grapes for this excellent Picpoul are harvested on the slopes of the Languedoc facing the Mediterranean, and the sunny climate of the region gives the grapes wonderful ripeness. Un-oaked to keep the wine fresh, this is a great white for serving with seafood, or as a crisp, refreshing aperitif. Folie a Deux Russian River Chardonnay 2014 *National Average Retail Price: $16.00 Despite this wine s initial big-barrel influence, it becomes a complex, satisfying mix of salted caramel, melon and ginger that remains relatively light bodied and able to display minerality. At an attractive price, it s worth considering for midweek meals and larger gatherings. Rated 90 Points - Wine Enthusiast Hunky Dory Sauvignon Blanc 2016 - New Zealand Hunky Dory Sauvignon Blanc is succulent, offering tropical fruit notes packed with fresh gooseberry and lime flavors. This wine has a full flavored lingering finish and is designed to meet expectations of a true Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Crios de Susana Balbo Torrontes 2015 *National Average Retail Price: $12.00 Beautiful pale green-yellow. Delicate, scented aromas and flavors of white peach, ripe grapefruit and white flowers. On the palate, it has a beautiful structure, acidity and minerality. Plenty of body for a wine that shows such delicate aromas and flavors. Rated 90 Points - James Suckling
Laurent Miquel Pere et Fils Chardonnay 2015 Pale straw color, melon, apple, citrus and spice aromas; dry, medium body, well balanced, with matching apple and lemon flavors on the lingering finish. Casa Ferreirinha Planalto White Reserva 2015 - Portugal has a bright hue with citrus nuances and aroma of good intensity and complexity. The floral aromas stand out, as well as citrus, tropical fruits, white pulp fruits and asparagus vegetable aromas. It has lively acidity and is well integrated on the palate, with good volume and again with aromas of tropical fruit and floral notes in evidence. Its finish is elegant and harmonious the ideal wine to accompany salads, light dishes, fish and seafood, or even to serve as an aperitif. Rated 88 Points - Wine Spectator Valle Coquette Vouvray 2014-France (not pictured) 100% Chenin Blanc, Vouvray is one of the best known wines of the Lorie. Golden yellow. Ripe fruity bouquet (quince, apricot) with overtones of nuts (almond) and acacia flower. Well balanced on the palate, soft with a slightly crisp finish.
