Christmas in Geneva From 8 to 10 December 2017 do not miss one of the oldest traditions in Geneva Geneva Lux December 1 st 2017 till January 14 th 2018 From December 8 to December 10, 2017 (Friday - Sunday), take part in celebrations dedicated to one of the oldest traditions in Geneva: Exalada is a holiday that transforms the city thanks to numerous parades, traditional entertainments and bonfires. Celebrate with us the anniversary of the heroic victory of the townspeople over the troops of the Duke of Savoy. This significant event took place on December 12, 1602. The Geneva Lux festival stages luminous works created especially for Geneva by Swiss and international artists. These works of light will be displayed in the city center. Combining modernity, tradition and technical and artistic innovation, the Geneva Lux illuminates the city with original works, showcasing Geneva's heritage. Free, open-air and accessible to all, this festival aims to develop a real urban museum of sculptures and works of light, expanding year after year. 08 09
