The museum features model airplanes, photographs, airline uniforms and other memorabilia. Through the windows that look out onto the runways at LAX, we can watch airplanes take off and land as they listen to the air traffic controllers in the tower. We will also watch a film about the history of Los Angles World Airports. Next, we will travel to Clifton s for lunch (included) where you will have a choice of entrees with side dishes, desserts, and a beverage. And last, we will visit Hollyhock House at Barnsdall designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and considered to be his finest work. San Diego Wild Animal Park Tuesday, Apr 24 Fee: $64.00 Leave: 8:30 a.m. Return: 5:30 p.m. At approx. 10:30 am we will arrive at the San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido (admission included) home to more than 3,200 animals including elephants, tiger, rhinos, as 400 species roam freely over the Condor Ridge. Your admission includes the Journey into Africa tram ride. This is a 25 min. tram ride that covers 2.5 miles and brings you eye to eye with animals in the large African field exhibit. Lunch will be on your own today in Nairobi Village. As we reflect on this past year, we think of those special friendships, the wonderful people that we serve, the many laughs and smiles that we share with you, and the many volunteers that make our programs happen, and it is so evident that the Azusa Senior Center is a great place to be part of. He has served as President of our Nutrition Site Council, is on the Bingo Committee and also serves as Vice-President of the Advisory Council. He is a busy man, but manages his time very well! VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH Mary Valenzuela has been very active at our center in the last few years. She is currently treasurer of the Nutrition Site Council and is doing a great job managing the funds. She works on our coffee corner and bakes delicious sugar free desserts for the customers. Mary is also a member of the Golden Age Club. She enjoys bowling and making trips to the casinos. Mary is a long time Azusa resident and knows almost everyone!.
