Day 1, Monday, Sept. 24, 2018 The Royal Tea Club The Corning & Finger Lakes Region September 24-28, 2018 We arrive in Williamsport where the group will have lunch on their own at Perkins. Following lunch we meet our costumed step-on guide for a driving tour of Williamsport's historic Millionaire's Row featuring local legend and lore. We ll visit the Annunciation Catholic Church, a wonderful gem along Millionaires Row. Built in 1886, the church is a wonderful Romanesque structure with magnificent details inside including Italian marble. The church organist will be on site to play a few pieces on the church s organ as a special treat for your group. (Please note this site may become unavailable at the last minute due to a funeral, etc. in which case we will attempt to visit an alternate site) This afternoon it s all aboard the Hiawatha Riverboat in Williamsport for a narrated Susquehanna River Cruise. We ll learn about the river s role in making Williamsport the lumber capitol of the world. In the mid-1800s logs from the north were corralled with underwater booms. We ll hear about jamcrackers that risked their lives to keep the lumber flowing down river and about a conductor on the Underground Railroad that used the river to help slaves from the south flee north. We ll check in to the Hampton Inn & Suites in Williamsport for one night. The group will have a welcome reception upon arrival. This evening we ll visit Le Jeune Chef, the teaching restaurant at the PA School of Technology in Williamsport to learn about the school s culinary program. Enjoy a nice meal with a dessert and a chef demo of the restaurant s signature dessert, chocolate soup. Meal will include salad, entrée, chocolate soup dessert (chocolate ganache lightened with cream, surrounding a coffee flan and garnished with fresh berries, white and dark chocolate shavings and Chantilly cream)

Day 2, Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018 Breakfast will be included at hotel. We check out and travel to Corning, NY. Lunch will be on your own in the café while at the Museum. We will check in to the Hampton Inn, Corning-Painted Post for the next three nights. Our first stop will be at the Corning Museum of Glass. The group will be divided into three separate groups for the ornament workshop, guided tour and hot glass demonstration. As a special treat, everyone will be able to blow their own glass ornament during the site visit. All glass items require an overnight cooling process so the ornaments will be picked up later in the week to take home. Dinner this evening will be at Tony R's. Corning s leading restaurant, located in the Gaffer District. Tony R s provides an extravagant atmosphere, along with great food and exceptional service. Meal includes entrée, smashed potatoes and mixed vegetable, house salad with Italian dressing, dessert and beverage (coffee, tea, iced tea, or soda). Group will be able to order off a limited menu upon arrival. Day 3, Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018 Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel then depart for a day of touring. We make our way to the Hornell Erie Depot Museum. With more than 700 artifacts on display, the Erie Depot Museum focuses on the railroad's history and the people who made it all possible. Arrive at Southern Tier Provisions in Bath, NY, featuring a variety of specialty items from pasta sauces to olive oils and vinegars, including NY State products. Enjoy a bit of browsing for a tasty souvenir to take home. (Half the group will visit here) Visit Betelgeuse Pottery in Bath where the owner will demonstrate her craft and time will be included for browsing among her items and those of other local artisans. (Half the group will visit here) Groups will then switch. Today lunch will be on your own in downtown Hammondsport where the group can enjoy time to browse and shop after having lunch.

We arrive at the Pleasant Valley Wine Company for a wine tasting. Established in 1860, the winery proudly displays the designation U.S. Bonded Winery No. 1 and has eight remarkable stone buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The winery retains the original integrity of an old-world winery with caves carved deep into the valley's hillside; it's an architectural materpiece nestled in the heart of the spectacular Finger Lakes Region. There will be a 1 hour walking tour (with steps) for those able to participate. We make our way to the Finger Lakes Boating Museum for a guided tour. The Museum exists for the education and preservation of the boating activities and boat building heritage of the Finger Lakes. The museum currently has three floors of the historic former Taylor Wine Company's main building to explore with several exhibit spaces and a new wing renovated in 2015. Visitors can see canoes, rowboats, row outboards, outboard runabouts, inboards, hydroplanes, and sailboats. Many related artifacts and ephemera are also on display, including a 130' x 10' lake and nature mural and replica lake cottage. The main building also contains an active boat shop where visitors are able to see restoration projects underway. We return to Corning to our hotel to relax and freshen up before going for dinner. This evening we ll enjoy a visit to Carey s Brewhouse in Corning for a dinner buffet. The menu will include tossed green salad with dressing, house dinner rolls and butter, garlic buttery chicken breast, roast beef, mashed potatoes, stout gravy, chef s choice of vegetable, strawberry shortcake dessert plus beverage (Coffee, tea, iced tea). Group members may purchase alcoholic beverages including the site s own beer to accompany their meal. Day 4, Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018 Start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Christ Episcopal Church in Corning, NY. The architectural style of the 500-seat Christ Church is early English Gothic, and is representative of many similar churches built across New York State in the last half of the 19th century. Integral to Christ Church's aesthetic beauty are the nearly 85 stained glass windows that adorn the sanctuary. Most of the older ones were produced by the Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company,

and by J. & R. Lamb Studios. The church also features mosaic reredos which was installed around 1910 following a fire that damaged portions of the chancel and some of the stained glass windows. Enjoy time on your own in downtown Ithaca. The town has a multitude of dining and shopping options. Enjoy a visit to Six Mile Creek Vineyard in Ithaca for a wine tasting featuring around six samples. Enjoy a visit to Lively Run Dairy where you'll learn all about goat cheese, taste a variety of goat cheeses made on site and visit the goat barn. A delicious stop! (Please note this site does not have public restrooms. This site will provide a cooler so group members can shop knowing their purchases will make it home safely.) Enjoy a visit to Seneca Wine Center, Watkins Glen, where you'll enjoy a tasting. Enjoy a 50-minute narrated sightseeing cruise on Seneca Lake at Captain Bill's Seneca Lake Cruises, Watkins Glen. You'll discover the beauty and charm of Seneca Lake as it can only be seen from the water and will be captivated by Hector Falls at 165 ft., the majestic cliffs of the east shore with Native American paintings, and a view of the salt industry. Enjoy dinner at Seneca Harbor Station in Watkins Glen overlooking Lake Seneca including hot entrée, baked Italian bread, garden salad with dressing, New England clam chowder, potato du jour, carrot cake dessert and beverage (soft drink and coffee or hot tea). Day 5, Friday, Sept. 28. 2018 Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart Arrive at the Rockwell Museum for a guided tour. This site, a Smithsonia affiliate, tells the story of the American experience through fine art. Housed within the Old City Hall building of Corning, this diverse collection includes a mix of nineteenth-century American paintings, historic bronzes, and Indian artifacts as well as twentieth-century modernists,

illustration art, and contemporary photography. Featured galleries represent the works of Andy Warhol, the Taos Society of Artists, and masterworks of Remington and Russell. Enjoy browsing in Corning's historic Gaffer District offering a variety of shoppes and cafes, art galleries such as Stained Glass Works & Antiques of Corning and more. Before we bid Corning farewell we ll enjoy a high tea at The Source in Factory No.2 in downtown Corning. The Source has a unique story of a father, mother and daughter who have combined their talent and dreams to create an eclectic venue where they serve their community and visitors far and near.
