Meet Brendan NOW Brendan Fev Fevola lost 14KG^ in 9 weeks A lot of people had noticed my weight gain and maybe because I m male they thought that I can take it a little bit better, but a lot of mates would say ah geeze you been in a good paddock or ooh geeze what size are you. It hurts a little bit too much. -Brendan The moment I realised I needed to do something is when I walked past my wife and she said what s happened to you?! My clothes stopped fitting, I felt uncomfortable in the fact that clothes didn t fit me, my suits didn t fit me, my tops didn t fit me, I was extra extra extra large in everything. I got really hot, I got lazy. I didn t want to get active, and having three girls I needed to be active. A lot of people had noticed my weight gain and maybe because I m male they thought that I can take it a little bit better, but a lot of mates would say ah geeze you been in a good paddock or ooh geeze what size are you. It hurts a little bit too much. Everyone knows I love food, and I ve spoken to a lot of people about being on Jenny Craig, and they were like what s the food like? People always think the food is going to be yuck because it s a lot smaller but the food is delicious, it s really nice. I had a pie for lunch yesterday, a meat pie, a good Australian meat pie, and it was delicious! Then I had fettuccini and chicken which has a creamy sauce. You get to eat food that you didn t think you could eat on a diet, but they make it so healthy that it s literally delicious and I love it. That myth about the food not being good is wrong, the food is delicious. Beautiful. I even had chocolate pudding for dessert last night. How good is that? No other weight loss program has desserts. Jenny Craig has desserts, that s a big tick. Although I love the food, the best thing about Jenny Craig is that you have a Consultant that you can call up at any time. You see them once a week to have a weigh in and a chat, so you can t fall off the wagon. My Consultant Rita, is so lovely and the fact that I get to speak to her whenever I need to, so that I stay on track, is key. It s a lot better than any other program out there. click here to follow fev on his journey click here for more inspiring success stories 3
REAL TIPS for weight loss success from real clients! We asked our Belconnen Consultant and clients for some of their top tips for the weight loss journey! Here is what they shared: Mel struggles to consume her fruit serves so she juices or blends half a cup of raspberries, half a ruby red grapefruit and a pink lady apple, to enjoy as a smoothie. Lisa struggles to consume her fruit serves in conjunction with drinking enough water: One thing that helps me ALOT is adding my pomegranate fruit serve to a tall glass with mineral water and ice. It fills me up and tastes delicious! See here for more tips on infusing your water. Loretta struggles with motivation so asked her Consultant if she could have a photo of her. Loretta popped it on her fridge to remind her that Bek (her Consultant) is watching! Loretta says it is a big help and the photo stops her from going back to the fridge when she is bored. Bek suggests to her clients to put a photo of themselves (at a previous weight they were happy with), a celebrity that they admire or an inspirational quote as their phone or computer screensaver or wallpaper or on the fridge to keep them motivated. They can then look at their phone or computer at any weak moments to keep motivated and on track. The photo on the fridge will hopefully assist in choosing healthier options from the fridge! Bek suggests to clients who plan on drinking alcoholic beverages to compare the possible kilojoules in the alcoholic beverage to a meal. This helps clients gain perspective on just how many kilojoules are in alcoholic beverages to help them choose whether or not all those extra, non-nutritional kilojoules are really worth it. See here for more tips on managing alcohol and your weight loss plan. Gabriella suggests to her clients to keep free foods on hand, for example Vegetable Soup or a Vegetable Stir Fry, and keep changing up the method of cooking, for example roasting vegetables instead of the usual steamed vegetables.
