New Promotion Week Start Day From Wednesday 9th October 2013, the IGA weekly promotion start and end days will change to a Wednesday to Tuesday cycle. This minor adjustment to our start and end days has been necessitated due to a similar change being adopted by IGA nationally across all mainland states along with TIR s respective obligations as per the recently executed Licence Agreement that we have in place with Metcash Food & Grocery (MFG). This change also ensures TIR s full compliance to all National promotional activity that we are required to participate in, i.e. Gigantic, Spring Promotion, Fun Days, etc. Our current advertising commitments will remain as is with the only noticeable change relevant to this decision being the TVC s Item & Price adverts (I&P) that appear on Tuesday via the various TV stations being re slotted to the Wednesday. Press I&P placements will also remain as is (see additional comments below) with the first main advert appearing on a Thursday this leads into the start of the strongest circulation days for the press thus providing the best brand coverage and exposure. Host files will be effective with each new weekly special pricing on Wednesdays and finish Tuesday evenings. The current buy period arrangements in place via SIW will not alter as a result of this change to a Wednesday start date for promotions. Catalogue deliveries into stores will remain as is with many stores already receiving these prior to or on Wednesdays already. The transition to this change will be relatively simple in that the promotion commencing Thursday 03 October 2013 will run for a 6 day period only (rather than 7) and will end on Tuesday 08 October 2013 (In store POS should be removed post COB on that day). Additional information will be circulated to all retailers in the lead up to this pending change. In summary this minor change will provide all retailers with a one day window to ensure that all in store POS is displayed prior to the Wednesday evening TVC adverts and the Thursday press adverts appearing.

2. Update to the Retailer Zone Promotional Material www.igatas.com.au We have recently updated the Retailer Zone of our website www.igatas.com.au to make it simpler to review current and upcoming promotional information. Part of this change provides you with a preview of the following week s catalogue and the latest and final retail sheets, order books, posters etc. Each promotional week will be presented on its own web-page to produce a more intuitive experience, minimize update errors and to maintain live web-pages at all times. All Stores will receive a weekly email each Thursday to confirm that the catalogue preview along with all other relevant / final information for the following week s promotion is available for download and review. A link will be included in the email to take you directly to the Promotional Material webpage via your Retailer Zone login screen. Where possible, TIR will also combine relevant news updates and links in the email notification thus reducing the quantity of Retailer Alert emails. There will be no change to the information currently mailed out to all stores which includes the retail / order sheets 2 weeks prior to the promotion start and the final / updated fresh retail / order sheet the week prior to the promotion start. The current practice of also faxing the final fresh retail / order sheets on the Wednesday evening the week prior to the promotion start will cease immediately. These changes will commence from Thursday, 29/8/13. 3. Changes to Press Content and Layouts Effective from 12 September 2013, there will be realignment of our press advertising in all 3 Tasmanian newspapers. The success of our Market Fresh press adverts has indicated we need to utilise the Friday press slot to promote our fresh offer better. A realignment of the layouts currently used permits us to maintain extensive daily coverage in press and will now allow us to run the current full page (or near equivalent) press advert every Friday rather than once every four weeks as per the current arrangements. The Friday advert page will be primarily devoted to Fresh and allows us to consolidate our normal fresh advertised lines to this page and we will also back up fresh by running key specials again in a Monday press advert. The Friday fresh page will normally have 6 spots taken up with 1 x meat, 1 x deli, 3 x produce and 1 x bakery. It is also planned that we may feature up to 2 extra spots for additional fresh or chilled products if and when we have a buying opportunity (one week in each month). The diagram below shows an overview on the new press layout plan. Charity Relief Our annual Charity Relief promotion kicks off on September 5th with a ½ page advert on the Sunday 8th September 2013. Stores will be provided special Charity Relief shelf talkers for approx 150 skus which will remain on promotion until Wednesday 27th November.
