Coal dust, firewood, port and sherry are married perfectly with notes of orange oil, cocoa, vanilla and toast. Sweet smoke develops from the embers working through flavours of orange, butter, roast almonds, and apricot, before settling on a massive peaty ending. A long, satisfying smoky finish. RR015 69.3% 20L Bourbon, Makers Mark 14 Days, 3 Wild 4 Years Medium Toto: Africa An intensity of orange, grapefruit, lemon rind and lime give a canvas for apple, strawberries, mint leaves and caramel to bounce from. Ash and peat add finishing touches. An extension of the nose with orange and grapefruit carrying vanilla, toffee and chocolate through the motions. The smoke dissipates, leaving burnt toffee and candy floss. A balancing act of vanilla, citrus and tea-like tannins.

Orange oil, orange peel, orange candies and lemon slice wash over the senses whilst a deep, subtle smoke and ash undercurrent flows back and forth. Sweet chocolate, peat, caramel and nutmeg drift across the tongue with malty swells. Oak drifts in with the tide. Nutmeg and chocolate wash very deep with a dry oaky finish. RR025 59.30% 20L Port, Seppeltsfield 8 Days, 3 Wild 4 Years, 6 Months Light Greenday: Basket Case An old library in a glass. Oak furniture, freshly polished with the linseed oil sitting close by. Coffee and ginger-bread men. Chocolate covered sultanas. Brazil Nuts, peanut brittle, dried orange peel and chocolate covered espresso beans. Dark and brooding, just like the library. Treacle, Christmas cake and stone fruits disappear quickly leaving in-trigue and longing for a top-up.
