PRODUCT LIST 2017 About us: We are an artisan wholesale bakery in North London, based in the old Chocolate Factory. We lovingly hand-craft each loaf, cake and pastry using experience, natural ingredients, and most importantly, time. The quality of our products represents knowledge and techniques passed down over countless generations. We pride ourselves on our long-fermentation process, taking our time with each loaf to create a wonderful flavour. Our sourdoughs in particular require an especially long fermentation process, as well as the use of a well matured sour starter; one of our bigas has been lovingly tended to daily and matured for over 15 years. Our Philosophy: Caring for the environment and creating a sustainable existence are integral to the Celtic Bakers. The provenance of our ingredients matters to us, and we pride ourselves on having developed strong relationships over the years with suppliers who share our values and ethos. 100% of our food waste is either recycled into animal feed or donated to local community projects. ORDERING OUR DETAILS Our offices are open between 08:00am to 03.30pm Monday to Friday. Everything is hand-crafted, and as we use lovely lengthy fermentation times, our products require sufficient notice to bake and deliver. Our ordering deadlines for products with a 24hour lead time for next day delivery are as follows: The deadline for Tuesday - Saturday orders is 11:00am the day before. e.g. orders for Tuesday should be placed on Monday, before 11am. The deadline for Sunday and Monday orders is 1:00pm on Friday. Please copy in sales@thecelticbakers.co.uk for any email order amendments or enquiries. For products with a 48 hour lead time, orders should be placed as follows MINIMUM ORDER & DELIVERY We deliver Monday to Saturday to the London area, and we can deliver to some customers on Sundays depending on your location. We offer a free delivery service but have a strict 25 minimum order requirement due to the delivery costs. Our deliveries are made between the early hours of 2:00am to 8:00am. If you are closed during this time, we can arrange with you a secure place to leave your delivery with you. Unfortunately we cannot accept responsibility for any deliveries requested to be left on doorsteps or in secure public places which have been exposed to the weather or pesky wildlife. Any amendments or cancellations to orders must be made before 11:00am the previous day and we will not be able to accept changes after this time. At the Celtic Bakers we hand-shape every loaf for you and as much as we may try, no two loaves will ever look the same. Fermentation and time have their own natural hold over the bread, and we think the individualities that result only add to the charm and appeal. Our bakers will produce beautifully crafted loaves, and as much as we can minimise inconsistencies, we will never be able to entirely remove them. Makes life more exciting we think. PAYMENTS When you set up an account with us, we will provide you with all payment information and details through our accounts department. Our payment terms are 30 days from invoice, unless otherwise agreed, and we thoroughly appreciate prompt payments from all our customers. You can find our payment details on our account form or request them from our sales team. COMPLAINTS & CONCERNS Please ensure you inspect your goods on arrival. Any shortages or damaged/faulty products must be reported to us before midday on the day of delivery. Please make sure you fully document any such issues with photographs and send these to us so we can rectify the situation and issue any credits as appropriate. We cannot certify that any of our products are wheat or gluten free, as they are not made in a wheat or gluten free environment.
