VYC Cruise to Scorpion April 20 April 22 Scorpion/Little Scorpion Anchorages 34º03 N 119º33 W Come out to Santa Cruz Island for the weekend. There is plenty of room to anchor in one of the two anchorages. Many boaters prefer to anchor behind the rocks at Little Scorpion anchorage. It is the best protected but the furthest from the landing anchorage. Big Scorpion is just east of the pier and landing. You can offload people at the pier but you must land your dinghy on the beach. Friday night host boat for cocktails at 1630 Boat to be announced Saturday hiking, NPS Channel Islands museum, kayaking Saturday evening, bring your hors-d oeuvres to picnic tables at 1600 (Special prize for first person to spot an island fox) Sunday morning kayaking Sunday morning FUN SAILBOAT RACE back to VYC Details to follow for those interested.
