The process is painstakingly done by highly skilled artisans who paint each tile free-hand using natural earth pigments. With Mexican roots in the 16th century and Spanish roots in the 8th century, Talavera reflects Spanish, Moroccan, Italian, and Chinese aesthetics in the products you see today. It s hard to imagine a better blend of artistic cultures coming together and is undoubtedly why Talavera has such a timeless charm. IDI Talavera is one of the most historically accurate, highest quality and beautiful Talavera collections in the world. Tango Tile is privileged to offer both Mr. Schatz s Mediterranean and Classic Collections. Materials: Handmade in Mexico using a fine clay body and all natural pigments. Product Usage: Floors, walls, stair risers, fireplace surrounds, interiors and exteriors including water features. It is not recommended for exteriors in freezing zones.
